Super Nintendo World to open at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2023

Super Nintendo World will open its doors at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2023, it’s just been announced.
Ahead of that, “exclusive apparel and collectibles” will be offered at the Feature Presentation store in the park. This is said to be “opening soon.” The store will house apparel for Mario and Luigi, character hats, and plushies for the likes of Yoshi, Mario, Bowser, and Luigi.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga gets “Building the Galaxy” video

Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, the LEGO Group, and Lucasfilm Games shared a new behind-the-scenes video, “Building the Galaxy”, for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
In it, fans can learn more about the extensive amount of content and sense of freedom the game offers. We’ve also got insight from the development team – specifically how they went about bringing the entire Star Wars galaxy to life with living and breathing versions of iconic locations found throughout the nine Skywalker Saga films, complete with signature LEGO humor. It also provides a look at the work that went into implementing weathering effects, differentiating sky colors, and bringing attention to every little detail unseen in previous LEGO video games.

Royal Frontier releasing on Switch next week

Publisher Ratalaika Games, in collaboration with developer Woblyware, has announced that Royal Frontier will soon be arriving on Switch. The roguelite styled, turned-based strategic adventure is on track for a March 18, 2022 launch.

Narrative-driven farming and life sim SunnySide announced for Switch

Today, Merge Games announced that it’s partnering with developer RainyGames to publish the narrative-driven farming and life sim SunnySide. It will launch for Switch later in 2022.
SunnySide is described as an “open world farming JRPG with deep social sim aspects.” Players will be attempting “to bridge the gap between traditional practices and modern influences as they find harmony in the Japanese countryside.” Building relationships with locals is another aspect of the game.

Let’s Play! Oink Games update out next week, adds “This Face, That Face”

Oink Games has announced that a new update will be made available for Let’s Play! Oink Games on March 17, with “This Face, That Face” being added. Improvements to the matching system have also been implemented – now if a room has empty player slots, you can enter a room mid-game and wait to join while spectating.

Nintendo falls outside of top ten in Metacritic’s 2021 game publisher rankings

Metacritic published its game publisher rankings for 2021, and it includes some interesting news about Nintendo.
Xbox Game Studios, Sony, and Humble Games make up the top three. We also see other familiar names like Capcom and SEGA in the top ten. Nintendo, however, is a few places beyond that sitting at #14.

LEGO Super Mario gets LEGO Peach details, pricing, release date

With MAR10 Day happening today, LEGO has passed along new information about its upcoming Super Mario sets, including ones for LEGO Peach. First details started to leak yesterday.
There are a total of seven new products on the way. The lineup includes Adventures with Peach Starter Course for $60, Goomba’s Shoe Expansion Set for $10, Fuzzy Flippers Expansion Set for $20, Yoshi’s Gift House Expansion Set for $30, Cat Peach Suit and Frozen Tower Expansion Set for $80, Peach’s Castle Expansion Set for $130, and Big Spike’s Cloudtop Challenge Expansion Set for $70.
