Color-based puzzle-platformer Color Jumper out on Switch next week

According to an eShop listing, Color Jumper will be releasing on Switch next week. The color-based puzzle-platformer (which does include a colorblind mode), will be out on August 28.

[Interview] Burnout Paradise Remastered dev on Switch release – challenges, high performance, more

Switch received a quality racer this summer in the form of Burnout Paradise Remastered. Developer Stellar Entertainment gave the port the proper care, as the game is mostly flawless when it comes to performance and even sports features like pinch-and-pull map control. Now players can experience Burnout Paradise on the go thanks to Switch’s portable nature.
Recently, Nintendo Everything was given the opportunity to speak with Stellar Entertainment creative director Chris Roberts. Roberts chatted about the experience of bringing Burnout Paradise Remastered to Switch, including the challenges involved and maintaining high performance.

Nintendo hosted one of its Indie World Showcase presentations this week. As is normally the case, we were able to check out a whole bunch of upcoming indie games for Switch. And while we usually get a few shadowdrops during these broadcasts, there were quite a few this time around – probably the most we’ve ever had. Those that missed the event can catch up on the big news in the announcement recap here.

Ask Iwata getting official English release in Spring 2021

Original (7/24): Last year, EarthBound creator Shigesato Itoi’s publishing company Hobonichi released a book in Japan dedicated to late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata. It went over Iwata’s life, featured interviews with the likes of Itoi and Miyamoto, and more.
Fortunately, that book is now officially confirmed for English release in the west. Viz Media has announced that Ask Iwata will handle publishing, and it will release in Spring 2021.
The book will be available in both print and through digital distribution.

Pokemon Sword/Shield – code released to obtain special Porygon2

In celebration of the Pokemon Players Cup, a code has been released to obtain Porygon2 in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. The creature is “expertly trained to battle with Trick Room strategies”.

Rumor: Nintendo Direct possibly coming next week

The last major Nintendo Direct was held in September 2019. Other than that, we saw a Nintendo Direct Mini back in March of this year and a Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase about a month ago. Rumor now has it that a new presentation from Nintendo is coming soon.
VentureBeat editor Jeff Grubb (who has been on the money with a number of Nintendo-related rumors) is among those that claims a Nintendo Direct could be coming next week – potentially Friday. Grubb said during the latest episode of GamesBeat Decides:

Pokemon Sword/Shield – get a competitive Gastrodon with new code, valid for one day only

The Pokemon Company has shared a code to obtain a competitive Gastrodon, which was used by the winner of the 2019 Pokemon Japan Championships. Protect, Surf, Ice Beam, and Earth Power are its available moves. Gastrodon stands at level 50 and competitively focused IVs with max in HP, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense with a 0 IV in Speed.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds full roster announced
