Here’s a brief overview:

Milanoir’s pixel art aesthetic paints the unforgiving city of Milan in bright and bloody detail while a funky ‘70s-style soundtrack further captures the turbulent energy of the era. Sneak, choke and shoot through the violent criminal underworld on the hunt for the man who framed you, surviving breathtaking vehicle chases and taking out anyone who stands in your way.

Milanoir takes advantage of Switch’s features, and will allow two players to go through the campaign in co-op mode with each player using a Joy‑Con controller.

Once you’ve pre-loaded a game from the eShop, you’re locked in to the purchase. There’s no way to cancel the pre-order prior to release. Because of this, Nintendo is now facing heat from the Norwegian Consumer Council.

PressFire obtained a letter sent to Nintendo in which the Council asks for clarification on how to cancel digital pre-orders or create a way to do so as soon as possible. As Polygon notes, Nintendo’s current policy goes against the 2011 Consumer Rights Directive that grants “a higher level of protection for consumers … in their own country or elsewhere in the EU.”

Just ahead of its launch later this week, there’s been some confusion as to which version of Payday 2 is ending up on Switch. Polygon has now received clarification straight from publisher Starbreeze.

Starbreeze says that Payday 2 will have content up through the “Most Wanted” update – so around mid-2017. That means Switch is one update behind other consoles, which are in turn slightly behind the primary PC edition. This was done in order to have Payday 2 ready for Switch in early 2018, though more content updates are promised for the future.

Even before we truly knew what Switch was, rumors have persisted about Smash Bros. appearing on the new platform by featuring content from the games on Wii U and 3DS. Speculation has now picked up once again.

Emily Rogers, who has been both spot on and occasionally off the mark with Nintendo rumors, claims that a Smash Bros. games will be announced and released for Switch later this year. Rogers further says that it will include new content as well as re-worked content from the Wii U and 3DS games.

Rogers isn’t sure as to how Nintendo will brand the game. It’s possible that it could be a deluxe edition, some sort of sequel, or a full sequel.
