At Wonder Festival earlier this year, one of the new figures revealed was from Kirby: Planet Robobot. Kirby is getting a new figure in his Robobot Armor.

The figure is on display at the All Japan Model and Hobby Show this weekend, and we have a couple of new photos of the product. It’s in the prototype stage, so it’s mostly still devoid of color.

Good Smile will be releasing the figure at some point in the future. More information will be shared later.

Another Switch game is lined up for release next week. According to Nintendo’s website, Volgarr the Viking releases digitally on October 5.

Volgarr the Viking possesses all the hallmarks of the true classics – simple controls, high challenge, and meticulous design – combined with hand-made pixel animation, an epic soundtrack, and buckets of blood.

Volgarr the Viking is also listed for October 5 on the European eShop, so this should be the final date. The game will cost $9.99.

When Switch was announced, many developers who were planning Wii U projects jumped ship over to the new console. However, Graphite Lab stuck to its guns and remained on track to bring Hive Jump to the older system. Just this past week, the game finally launched on the eShop.

Graphite Lab’s Matt Raithel reflected on the whole process in a new blog published on Gamasutra this week. In one section, he explains why the team was committed to the Wii U version, writing:

Mario

The App Store updated today with a news piece about Super Mario Run. The article included some comments from Takashi Tezuka, who has long been working on the Mario series.

Takashi is one of a select few developers who has had a large impact on Mario – others being Shigeru Miyamoto and Toshihiko Nakago.

Tezuka had this to say about their lengthy working relationship:

“If we were a rock band, we’d have disbanded long ago. After working together for 30 years, our sense of what’s good and what’s bad in terms of quality is in sync.”

Along with Fire Emblem Warriors this week, Japan received the new Chrom and Tiki amiibo. Both figures are unboxed in the video below.

Amazon is running a Music Unlimited promotion right now that can net you $10 in easy credit. All that’s required is to head on over here, enter “MUSIC1” as your code, and select apply. Then sign up for Music Unlimited by selecting the 30-day trial option, and the $10 credit should show up at checkout. This will work on any item shipped and sold by Amazon through October 31.

We tried the method, and the whole process only took a couple of minutes. You can basically use this to get $10 in eShop credit for free or save on something like Super Mario Odyssey. Just make sure that you cancel the Music Unlimited trial within the next 30 days, assuming you’re not interested in the subscription.
