Here’s

Burlingame, Calif. — September 22, 2017 — KOEI TECMO America announced today the upcoming western release of Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings for the Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Windows PC via Steam®. Slated to release in Early 2018, this latest entry to GUST’s popular Atelier franchise continues from Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book and Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey, concluding the Mysterious series with an all-new heart-warming narrative.

The gripping conclusion to the Mysterious series marks the 20th Anniversary for the Atelier franchise, following the tale of the alchemist twins – the reserved but caring Lydie Marlen, and the eccentric and carefree Suelle Marlen. The young twins work alongside their father at the family atelier, but due to his inexperience in alchemy they rarely see any customers. While working hard to hone their skills, the duo uncovers a mysterious-looking painting, and as they reach out to investigate the girls are drawn inside a world bountiful with rare materials… perfect for Alchemy! This fateful discovery is just the beginning of the twin’s adventure leading them to their joint goal… to run the best atelier in the country.

The first English trailer for Atelier Lydie & Suelle can be found below.

A new security method is being offered for Nintendo Account users. 2-step verification has been added, which offers additional protection.

You can enable the setting here. If you choose to do so, you’ll be asked to enter a code displayed from an app on your smart device along with your password when signing in to your Nintendo Account.

Just to be clear, this is entirely optional. But if you’d like to make your account more secure, the option is there.

For the release of Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver on the 3DS Virtual Console, Nintendo offered boxed versions in Europe. They ultimately don’t amount to much, but for collectors, they’re nice to have. Get a closer look in the unboxing video below.

Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver are out now on the 3DS Virtual Console. To celebrate, long time Game Freak developer Junichi Masuda is going out to system owners via SpotPass. We haven’t heard about any news for North America yet, but we’ll let you know if that changes.

Voez

Voez is currently being sold only as an eShop title. However, it was announced today that a physical version is coming to Japan. A release is planned towards the start of 2018.

One big addition in the physical release is support for Switch’s TV Mode. Voez only supports handheld play at present, but you’ll be able to play with a controller as opposed to the touchscreen. Other unnamed features are also planned.

Voez has sold over 40,000 units to date on Switch. That number accounts for sales in North America, Europe, and Japan.

A new entry in the platforming series Umihara Kawase appears to be in development for Switch. At Success’ Tokyo Game Show booth, a poster can be found with a silhouette of Kawase Umihara, the main protagonist.

While there aren’t a ton of entries, the Umihara Kawase franchise has been around for quite some time. The first game released on the Super Famicom, and Natsume published the third title on 3DS as Yumi’s Odd Odyssey.

Kawase Umihara will also be appearing in the Switch game Blade Strangers. The project is a 2D fighter with crossover characters, including Cave Story and Code of Princess.
