Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News | 1 Comment
Team17 and Mouldy Toof Studios are unveiling a new aspect of The Escapists 2 today. When the title launches, multiplayer will be included. Co-op and versus multiplayer modes are in the pipeline.
When playing online, up to four players are supported. Split-screen also allows for two players.
We’ve attached a trailer and information about multiplayer in The Escapists 2 below.
“Drop-in, drop-out multiplayer allows you to carefully plan and execute an intricate escape with your fellow inmates either online or locally, or simply hop into an existing game to help pull off the final touches of the escape!
You can experience the entire campaign of The Escapists 2 solo or by teaming up with others but however you choose to do it, escaping won’t be easy. You’ll have to work around the strict prison schedule and avoid the unwanted attention of guards. Craft and steal weapons and tools from within the prison, but beware of cell shakedowns! Get a job or undertake quests to purchase vital supplies, all while scouting escape routes – you may even uncover some unique escapes that cannot be undertaken alone!”

Hideki Kamiya is now a vice president at PlatinumGames, studio still open to continuing with Bayonetta
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 22 Comments
Bayonetta and The Wonderful 101 director Hideki Kamiya has a new position within PlatinumGames. IGN reports that he’s a vice president at the company, but is also “working on the mentorship and development of staff” in addition to assisting studio lead Atsushi Inaba in planning the studio’s future.
Kamiya is still working on games despite his new role. For his next project, he wants to create “something that really waves the Kamiya banner proudly. A game where you will know instantly that it came from me.”
Inaba, who spoke to IGN, also reiterated the possibility of continuing with the Bayonetta series:
“We enjoyed working on Scalebound and we want to sort of continue to explore that type of new genre. At the same time, you know, were we to continue Bayonetta, we have a certain fan base that really wants to play that kind of game, and if we were to develop that we’d want to give them the experience that they’re looking for.”
Thanks to Jake for the tip.

What’s in Store for the 1.4.0 Update
Thank you for playing Fire Emblem Heroes. Here’s an update from the Fire Emblem Heroes development team about the new additions for ver. 1.4.0.
■ Tempest Trials
This special event will introduce a series of maps you must fight your way through from beginning to end, using a limited number of teams of Heroes.
If a Hero falls in battle, they can’t be redeployed until the end of the challenge, so be careful.
The last map of the series is a boss stage. Points will be awarded depending on how well you do in facing the challenge. Even if all of your allies are defeated, however, you can still receive points.

Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News | 1 Comment
The Sonic 25th anniversary statue, announced last week, now has pre-orders available. Similar to previous products, First 4 Figures is accepting reservations for two options. You can pre-order either the standard version or the exclusive edition. The exclusive edition has some extra bells and whistles like LEDs so that the statue lights up.
As for the statue itself, here’s an overview:
“Being cast in high-quality polystone, every detail on Sonic the Hedgehog – 25th Anniversary has been captured perfectly, and is finished with a detailed hand-painted finish. Sonic’s iconic colours are represented closely to the classic style of the character. Complimenting with the rest of the Sonic the Hedgehog Diorama line, Sonic the Hedgehog – 25th Anniversary captures one of the most iconic scenes in Sonic history in outstanding detail.
Comes in deluxe full-colour packaging with moulded foam interiors, and an authenticity card that allows you to register your purchase with First 4 Figures online, thus ensuring your product is genuine and allowing you to secure the same number for future statues in the Sonic the Hedgehog Diorama line.”
You can pre-order the standard Sonic 25th anniversary statue here. The exclusive edition is here. Both are $385 and will ship in Q2 2018.
