Mojang open to the idea of Minecraft on Nintendo systems
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Wii U | 41 Comments
Minecraft has graces most gaming systems, but it has yet to arrive on Nintendo platforms. That doesn’t mean developer Mojang is against the idea though.
“If I had my way, we’d be on everything,” COO Vu Bui told MCV. “We want to continue to be available to all players, and that means being on new platforms because everyone uses something different.”
MCV specifically asked if a Nintendo version of Minecraft could be possible. Regarding this, Bui said: “I’ve never heard a reason why we haven’t ended up on Wii U or 3DS. It just hasn’t happened yet.”
So how about it: is Minecraft something you guys would like to see on Wii U and 3DS?

Play-Asia lists Metallic Blue New 3DS XL for release in North America next month
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in New Nintendo 3DS, News | 9 Comments
Two New 3DS XL colors have been made available in North America (along with the limited edition Majora’s Mask system). At the moment, consumers have the option of purchasing a black or red handheld. Play-Asia is now listing a third color that will apparently be coming to North America in just a few weeks.
The Metallic Blue New 3DS XL is seemingly heading stateside based on Play-Asia’s listing. If it’s accurate, we’ll be seeing the new color variation sometime in August.
Nintendo has not yet announced the Metallic Blue New 3DS XL for North America. We’ll see if that changes within the next few weeks.

A look at the Copilas, Nintendo’s old copy machine
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 4 Comments
Toarcade has posted a number of photos of the Nintendo Copilas. These copy machines went on sale starting in 1971 for 9,800 yen.
Back in the day, the Japanese government supplied schools nationwide with Copilas machines. Hiroshi Yamauchi, former president of Nintendo, previously mentioned that they were designed to break easily so that the company could earn profits from repairs.
While Copilas machines were originally produced in large numbers, it’s tough to come across them these days – especially one complete in box. It makes for a rare piece of Nintendo history!

Rumor: Another publisher picks up Devil’s Third for North American release
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, Rumors | 24 Comments
Word on the street is that Nintendo will not be publishing Devil’s Third in North America, unlike Europe and Japan. However, Siliconera claims that another company has already picked up the game for release in the states.
The site states in a new report, “Siliconera has learned Devil’s Third will be released here by a publisher Siliconera readers are quite familiar with.”
I’d guess that XSEED will be handling Devil’s Third in North America. I could be wrong though!
