Fire Emblem Fates – Map Pack 2 announced for North America, kicks off May 5
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 4 Comments
A second wave of Fire Emblem Fates downloadable content is coming to North America starting next week, Nintendo has announced. Players can get their hands on DLC from Map Pack 2 starting May 5.
Nintendo has provided the following overview of the upcoming DLC:
Unlike the contents of Map Pack 1, the stages included in Map Pack 2 tell an ongoing story. Across dimensions, other versions of the Hoshidan and Nohrian children are under attack. Born and raised in the Deeprealms, these fledgling warriors must now rise up to save themselves and their parents as they unravel the mystery of their adversaries. In this six-map series, units leveled up in the main game cannot lend support. Players must devise a strategy using a fresh team to reap the rewards, but only if all units survive.
Here’s the full schedule:
May 5-June 9 – Map Pack 2 ($7.99)
May 5 – I: In Endless Dreams (49 cents)
May 12 – II: Realms Collide ($1.99)
May 19 – III: The Changing Tide ($1.99)
May 26 – IV: Light’s Sacrifice ($1.99)
June 2 – V: Endless Dawn ($1.99)
June 9 – End: Lost in the Waves ($1.99)
And some screenshots:
Note that even players who have purchased I: In Endless Dreams can still pick up Map Pack 2 to receive a discount when compared to buying the subsequent maps individually. Map Pack 2 content is priced at more than $10 when purchased individually.
As a bonus, those who already own Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright or Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest can download Another Gift from Anna for free on May 5.

New Ace Attorney 6 details: Bracelet Power, Detective Memo
Posted on 9 years ago by Jake in 3DS, News | 0 comments
The new screenshots from Ace Attorney 6 showed off a few features of the game that Capcom has now detailed: Bracelet Power and Detective Memo.
Bracelet Power is a returning feature that lets Apollo (and the player) pick up on tiny details that might mean a suspect is lying or hiding information. The bracelet will react whenever there is some suspicious about an opponent’s dialogue, at which point the player can tap the lower screen to put the testimony in slow-motion and try and get the truth. Detective Memo, meanwhile, is a feature that lets players see what their current goals are, ideally for players who left the game for some time and forgot what to do.

Kimishima on importance of Pokemon, 3DS’ lineup, unannounced titles in the works
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 4 Comments
Twenty years have passed since the release of the first titles in the Pokémon series, which has sold over 200 million units worldwide. We are preparing to bring you the next titles in this series, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, launching in winter 2016 (holiday 2016 in the U.S. and late 2016 in Europe). I just mentioned that the Virtual Console Pokémon titles have been selling well, and excitement for Pokémon has been building, especially in North America, Nintendo’s largest market. We aim to use this momentum to drive the launch of these new titles by making this one of our top priority titles for the fiscal year ending March 2017 and maximizing sales worldwide.
This slide shows announced 3DS titles launching in Japan in April 2016 or later, including titles planned for future release. Due to our wide installed base, there are many titles, including major titles, from third-party software developers. Furthermore, there are many other unannounced titles, both first-party and third-party, that are proceeding with development.
This slide shows announced 3DS titles launching in the American and European markets in April 2016 or later, including titles planned for future release. As in Japan, there are many more titles planned for future release, and other unannounced titles that are currently in development.
Kimishima on 3DS strategy for next fiscal year – major titles, reach broader demographics
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 37 Comments
This information comes from Nintendo’s investors briefing as stated by president Tatsumi Kimishima…
For the Nintendo 3DS, our strategy over the fiscal year ending March 2017 will be to revitalize the platform by launching major titles, and to reach broader demographics worldwide, including females and young consumers.
The installed base in Japan is fairly saturated compared to other countries, meaning there is reduced opportunity to sell Nintendo 3DS hardware to new consumers. Our efforts will focus on sparking discussion and maintaining momentum among current owners of Nintendo 3DS hardware.
