It’s well documented at this point that Fire Emblem Fates’ western version does not have the main petting game included in the original Japanese release. At one point though, there may have been plans to leave it in.

Fans have come across some English dialogue that sounds like something which could have been used for the petting mini-game. You can have a listen here. The theory going around is that the mini-game was scrapped farther along during localization, while some are also hoping that the feature will make it into the European release. It might be an interesting discovery, but it’s one that doesn’t change the outcome of Fates’ North American localization.

Bravely Second has made some changes in the west. For example, the Tomahawk class became Hawkeye for the overseas version. Changes extend to at least another aspect of the RPG as well.

One fan has poked through and compared the original Japanese and western versions to see what’s been modified. Models have been updated, which was done to cover up certain parts of the body. A few more of the changes can be seen in the video below.

Activision is using its Skylanders franchise to support the millions of families affected by autism. Through one-of-a-kind toys, Skylanders and Autism Speaks are teaming up to raise awareness for an important cause during April’s Autism Awareness Month.

These toys are blue and white to reflect Autism Speaks’ official colors. The “Power Blue” Skylanders SuperChargers feature Splat and Trigger Happy, along with their SuperCharged vehicles Splatter Splasher and Gold Rusher. The full set appears in-game as their special colors. The toys are actually on store shelves in the United States and Europe now, with Canada to follow on April 1.

Activision is also extending its plans to promote Autism Awareness Month through the following activities:

– Launching employee education and employee-donation matching programs
– In recognition of World Autism Awareness Day, employees will have the opportunity to participate in the Autism Speaks Walk on April 2 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena
– Making donations to non-profits that are making a difference in the autism community
