With a new year comes new possibilities. As far as Nintendo is concerned, the door is wide open for potential games in 2020. The company actually hasn’t really confirmed much for these next several months, as the only locks we have are Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. Bravely Default II is also something that’s happening, but Nintendo is only publishing in the west. Other possibilities do exist for 2020 like Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 and Bayonetta 3, but such projects aren’t necessarily slated for the next year. We also have to think about DLC for the likes of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

With that preamble out of the way, what are you hoping to see from Nintendo in 2020? Is there any particular announcement that would get you excited? Let us know in the comments below.

This week’s Pokemon Direct was highlighted by two announcements. Aside from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, we’re also getting a ton of new content for Pokemon Sword/Shield with the brand new Expansion Pass.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is the much more straightforward announcement, which is probably why it took up significantly less air time. We’re getting a remake of the series’ debut entry here, and it’s coming out very soon. Nintendo will publish the game on March 6, and you can even try out a demo from the eShop right now.

The Pokemon Sword/Shield Expansion Pass is where there’s a lot to go over and think about. For $29.99, you’ll be getting access to new areas, new Pokemon, clothing items, handy features, and more. There are two aspects to the Expansion Pass, with the Isle of Armor releasing by the end of June and The Crown Tundra following this fall. You can read all about the Expansion Pass here.

Now that the presentation has aired, what did you think about the new Pokemon Direct? Will you be picking up Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX? What are your thoughts on the Pokemon Sword/Shield Expansion Pass? Let us know in the comments below.

With just a few days remaining in 2019, now’s a good time for reflection. It’s been a banner year for Nintendo and Switch as a whole. 2019 started off a bit slow, but the second half came on strong – especially for big first-party releases. This year we saw the likes of Super Mario Maker 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Astral Chain, Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Luigi’s Mansion 3, and Pokemon Sword/Shield. Other top titles helped fill out the schedule, including New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Yoshi’s Crafted World, Daemon X Machina, and Dragon Quest XI S – and that’s without really delving into indie titles and third-party support.

Given everything we’ve seen this year, what are your thoughts about Switch in 2019? What’s your personal Game of the Year? Let us know in the comments below.

You could probably make the case that The Game Awards 2019 didn’t go the way that many had expected. There was no new Smash Bros. character, Zelda appearance, or return of Bayonetta 3. Instead, new trailers for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 (DLC) and No More Heroes 3 debuted alongside the announcement of Bravely Default II.

It’s that last game most people will be talking about. It’s technically not a Nintendo game as the Big N is only publishing in North America and Europe, but having the Bravely series return (and on Switch) is noteworthy.

Although we haven’t seen a whole lot of Bravely Default II, what are your thoughts so far? What do you hope to see in the new entry? What do you make of the name given Bravely Second on 3DS? Let us know in the comments below.

A new month rolled right on in a few days ago. Now that we’re in December, we want to know what you’ve been playing.

Are you still adventuring through the Galar region in Pokemon Sword/Shield? Playing a new game from some of the holiday sales? No matter the case, let us know in the comments below.

The first all-new generation of Pokemon games for Switch have arrived. Last week, Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield launched as Nintendo’s big holiday releases. We imagine that many of you picked up the games and have already started playing.

Although Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield haven’t been out for too long, we want to hear about your impressions thus far. Which starter did you go with? Have you found any new Pokemon that you’re liking? What are your overall thoughts based on what you’ve played? Let us know in the comments below.

Nintendo has been known to have a heavy presence at The Game Awards. Whether it was showing some of the first Zelda: Breath of the Wild gameplay, announcing Bayonetta 3, or revealing a new Smash Bros. character, the company usually has one – if not more – big things to show.

Last year was arguably the biggest year for Nintendo fans at The Game Awards. Nintendo itself dropped the news about Joker coming to Smash Bros. Ultimate as the first DLC character, and also unveiled Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 – something nobody saw coming. On top of that, we even got some pretty big third-party announcements thanks to the likes of Mortal Kombat 11, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, and Sayonara Wild Hearts.

Now that The Game Awards 2019 is only a month away, we want to know what you’re hoping will be shown this year. What are you looking for Nintendo to debut? Let us know in the comments below.
