The Nintendo UK store has now opened up pre-orders or the Animal Crossing amiibo cards series 3. Orders can be placed here. You can order a standalone pack, three packs, or new collectors album with a bonus pack.
Tidbits from Sakurai’s 500th Famitsu column

As promised, this week’s issue of Famitsu has Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai’s 500th column. This is more of a commemorative piece as expected.
Sakurai has reconfirmed his special stream on Niconico for March 10. He’ll look back on past columns, answer questions submitted by fans, and play certain unspecified games.
There are also rankings of columns Sakurai has covered the same topic, split into three categories. Those are as follows:

Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympics has launched in arcades across Japan. 10 different events are featured in the game. There are even foot sensors, so it’s quite a different way to play.
Pokemon Direct announced for Friday

Update: Small extra tidbit, but today’s PR for the Pokemon Photo Booth app says the Pokemon Direct will have “big news.”
Today, Nintendo announced that a special Pokemon Direct will air this Friday. The company will have news about “the latest on Pokemon games.”
It’ll be streamed at the following times:
– 7 AM PT
– 10 AM ET
– 3 PM in the UK
– 4 PM in Europe
We’ll have a live stream for the Pokemon Direct before it begins – possibly a live blog as well. Note that the presentation will only last five minutes.

Retro Studios opens new website

Metroid Prime maker Retro Studios has finally updated its website with a new design. You can see it for yourself here.
If you saw Retro’s site previously, you could tell that it was really in need of a makeover. Thankfully, this new one employs a more modern design, and a number of the individual pages have been updated.

Yo-kai Watch anime begins on April 23 in the UK

The Yo-kai Watch anime now has a final premiere date in the UK. Cartoon Network will begin airing episodes on April 22, the series’ Twitter account confirms.
