Zero Escape started on DS a decade ago with Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors. Virtue’s Last Reward continued the franchise on 3DS in 2012, followed by Zero Time Dilemma in 2016.
It’s now been three years since the last Zero Escape game. Kotaro Uchikoshi, the series’ director, has also moved on to work on the new IP AI: The Somnium Files. What does that mean for Zero Escape?
Uchikoshi appears to be open to working on the series once more. In an interview with Japanator, he said: “If the fans desire it, there’s always a possibility.” That’s not definitive by any means, but perhaps we could see a fourth entry in the future.

Satoru Iwata passed away four years ago today
Posted on 5 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
Late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata passed away on July 11, 2015. As it’s now July 11 in Japan, it’s been four years since his untimely death. Iwata’s life was sadly taken by bile duct cancer.
It’s always nice to take a moment and remember how much of an impact Iwata had not only on Nintendo, but the gaming industry as a whole. He led the Big N through the major successes that were the Wii and DS, but prior to that, even had a much more active role in game development. Iwata continued to code until he was 40, and helped Smash Bros. Melee release on time – and that’s just one example.
Rest in peace, Satoru Iwata.

Video emerges of the unreleased NES game based on The Terminator

Sunsoft originally had plans to create a NES game based on The Terminator. Unfortunately, after the project was started in 1989, Sunsoft lost the movie rights. The studio pivoted, and decided to redo the title as the sci-fi platformer Journey to Silius.
Creative Licensing Corporation founder Rand Marlis told Gaming Alexandria that Sunsoft lost the rights to The Terminator since the game didn’t follow the plot of the film. The plan was to have it take place in the future as opposed to “modern day”. Also, instead of featuring Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor’s fight against a mechanical assassin, the game would involve artificial intelligence Skynet taking over the world with its army of robots.
