SEGA comments on Sonic Lost World extra lives pre-order bonus, players will never pay for lives, difficulty talk
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
SEGA revealed a peculiar pre-order bonus for Sonic Lost World earlier this week. Players who reserve the Wii U version from Amazon will receive 25 extra lives. Kind of odd, isn’t it?
SEGA has since commented on the unconventional pre-order bonus. Associate brand manager Aaron Webber told Kotaku, “The lives are not really the focus”, with the Deadly Six Edition content taking prominence. He added that paying for lives “will never be a thing in a Sonic game” and the bonus is “a way to let you have a bit more fun being reckless if you want to be.”
You can find all of Webber’s comments below.

Nintendo doesn’t sound too happy about early, leaked of Pokemon X/Y
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 10 Comments
Leaks for Pokemon X/Y have been popping up all over as of late, including evolutions for all three starter Pokemon. There’s a reason for that: some retailers have already started to sell the game much to Nintendo’s disappointment.
To say that Nintendo isn’t happy would be an understatement. One leaker, who obtained an early copy, claims that the company went out of its way to fly out a representative and track down the game shop where the product was sold.
“Nintendo flew a representative out this afternoon and went to the local game shop where I picked up X. The Nintendo rep had said heads were rolling at Nintendo because of the leaks. I gave up my copy of the game to try and help keep the local game shop out of trouble and to keep my friend from losing his job.”

2DS has a 1300mAh battery, same as original 3DS
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments

The 2DS battery isn’t as strong as the one found inside the 3DS XL. Rather, the system lasts just about as long as the original 3DS.
That’s because the 2DS and 3DS possess the same battery. The 2DS comes with a 1300mAh battery, which is the the same size as the one included with the original 3DS model.
Union J promoting Pokemon X/Y in the UK
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 3 Comments
Nintendo has previously spoken about its big plans to promote Pokemon X/Y in the UK. The Big N had said of its advertising plans, “The Pokemon X and Y campaign is on the same level as our Animal Crossing campaign. It’s going to be huge”.
At least a portion of Nintendo’s marketing plans will tie into boyband Union J. The X-Factor UK participants will be working with Nintendo to promote Pokemon X/Y, it has been announced.
One of the band members said of the news:
“When we first heard that Pokémon X and Pokémon Y had been announced, we couldn’t have been more excited and we knew that we wanted to get involved in some way. The boys and I are all huge Pokémon fans and we know that the JCats will go crazy when we announce our special news.”
