Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night getting Zangetsu and Randomizer update in late May/early June, lots of details

505 Games and ArtPlay are still going strong with Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. It was previously announced that an update is planned that’ll include new playable character Zangetsu and a “Randomizer” mode. Today, it was confirmed that this will be made available on Switch between late May and early June.

The platformer Reed Remastered made it to Switch back in February. Its sequel, Reed 2, is now launching this week as well. Publisher Ratalakia Games and developer PXLink shared the news today.

Top Donkey Kong player Billy Mitchell files lawsuit against Twin Galaxy over removed scores

Billy Mitchell has long been known as one of the top Donkey Kong and Pac-Man players in the world. But his reputation took a hit in 2018 after he was accused of obtaining a high score in Nintendo’s arcade classic by playing with an emulator, which is “strictly forbidden”. His record was removed soon after, and he was banned from submitting scores to Twin Galaxies. Guinness World Records also decided to throw out his Donkey Kong scores and records for Pac-Man.
We’re now hearing that in April 2019, Mitchell filed suit against Twin Galaxies. Speaking with Ars Technica, he said the case was “officially served to Twin Galaxies” in February. A detailed complaint was then added in March.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has nearly 500 characters, many of them playable

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will have nearly 500 playable characters. That’s according to Craig Derrick, managing producer at Lucasfilm Games, who shared the news in a recent interview.
Derrick and TT Games’ Jonathan Smith discussed the process of choosing characters for the title, noting:

Dogmelon Games has announced a major update for Baron: Fur is Gonna Fly. The aerial party showdown will be adding four new modes. A new difficulty level for bots and a number of quality of life fixes will be included as well.

Banking company NatWest bringing Island Saver to Switch for free

Here’s a bit of a strange Switch game on the horizon. NatWest, a banking company from the UK, is bringing NatWest to Switch. It’ll be a free download rather than a paid release.
The game is what you’d expect based on the title – helping out islands. Players will wash away gloop, collect litter, earn coins, and rescue “bankimals” with a first-person perspective. Stormcloud Games was commissioned to work on the project.

Umihara Kawase BaZooKa! coming west in July

Umihara Kawase BaZooKa! is slated for May 28 in Japan. As for the west, ININ Games announced today that it has picked up the game for overseas publishing. North America and Europe will be getting the game in July.
