Publisher Digerati and developer ctoday announced that the surreal shoot ’em up action game Straimium Immortaly will be launching on Switch this month. A release is planned for December 25.

Civilization VI

Update: 2K says it’s working on a fix and has a workaround (see below).


Original: Civilization VI’s latest update appears to be causing major issues on Switch. Due to a bug, players have reported that the game is crashing just as they’re about to win a game. It doesn’t appear to be limited to a small subset of users and is happening regularly.

2K Games has yet to comment on the situation nor is there any word on any imminent patch to address these problems. If we do receive a status update, we’ll be sure to let you know.

The shoot ’em up and adventure game Defenders of Ekron: Definitive Edition arrives on the Switch eShop this Thursday. For a look at some footage, check out the video below.

Switch is cooking up a new bundle for Switch in time for the holidays. The package contains a set of red Joy-Con, $20 eShop credit, and a carrying case. Pricing is set at $299.

This new Switch bundle will be live at Walmart starting December 3. It will be offered for purchase until December 14.

Black Friday 2019 might be over, but we do have one last big sale event of the year. With it being Cyber Monday, Nintendo has announced that those who purchase a select Switch system on the digital storefront of participating retailers will receive a 128GB SanDisk microSD card at no extra cost.

The one-day offer runs until 11:59 PM PT on December 2. It is eligible with Neon Blue and Neon Red Joy‑Con consoles, and you can find participating retailers here.

Super Mario Maker 2 is getting a major free update this week, on December 5. Version 2.0 will add many new course parts, including the Master Sword item in the Super Mario Bros. style that transforms Mario into Link, giving him a totally new moveset, as well as a new speed-run mode. New difficulties are coming to the Chaos Protocol crossover event in Dragalia Lost. The epilogue to the story will also be added. Players can look forward to the new content hitting the game as of 10PM PST — in the meantime, they can spend their hard-earned Wyrmite on the Winter Wardens Summon Showcase, which is now live.

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart. This week, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is still at the top for Nintendo titles while Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition makes its first appearance.
