Real Men Use Items!, an 8-bit Smash Bros.-like game coming to “Nintendo systems”

Developer Ultra Dolphin Revolution has announced Real Men Use Items!, a fighting game obviously inspired by Super Smash Bros., but done in an 8-bit style. As the name implies, the focus of this game lies on the use of various items scattered around the stage to deal damage to your opponents. Multiplayer matches with up to 4 players will be supported.
Real Men Use Items! currently has no release date – or platform. The game is planned exclusively for “Nintendo systems”, though Ultra Dolphin Revolution doesn’t specify which systems. The Nintendo Switch seems like a safe bet, but given the game’s visuals, a 3DS version also seems possible. We will keep you updated once we have more information. Fire Emblem Heroes: latest Grand Conquest battle now live

The latest Grand Conquest battle has started in Fire Emblem Heroes. As always, the battle consists of three rounds, each of which lasts two days. This time, the battle takes place in Magvel, the setting of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. The three army leaders are Lyon (red), Ephraim (green) and Innes (blue).
Nintendo shares the 30 most downloaded games on the Japanese eShop in 2018

Nintendo published a neat little statistic on their Japanese website today: the 30 most downloaded games on the Japanese eShop in 2018. Just like the download charts on the eShop itself, there are two lists: one for games that also have physical versions and one for games that are only available on the eShop. Unsurprisingly, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate takes the top spot in the first list. Human: Fall Flat being the most downloaded digital-only title is a bit more surprising, however. First 30 minutes of Asdivine Hearts II gameplay

Super Mario Run – Loads of Coins event now live

The Loads of Coins event has returned in Super Mario Run and is now live.
Until February 1st, players will be able to earn 1.5 times the usual amount of coins from Toad Rally. Losing will net the usual amount of coins, however.

Following recent news that Bandai Namco would be bringing Ninja Box to Japan in 2019, the developer has shared some more details specifically on secret base variety and new characters.
The new information on the base-building RPG has been fully translated by Gematsu and can be viewed below, along with some new screenshots.

As first announced a couple days ago, the Fire Emblem Fest Part 2 Spirit Board event is now live in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Players will have an increased chance of running into some Fire Emblem-based Spirits that were not featured on the Spirit Board during the first Fire Emblem Fest event.
The event is set to last over the weekend. Some of the Spirits highlighted are included below.
