Adi Shankar has been responsible for the animated Castlevania series on Netflix having produced two season thus far. His next venture? Speculation points to Shankar possibly working on The Legend of Zelda.

The Wrap claims that Shankar is indeed in talks with Nintendo to produce a series based on Nintendo’s historic franchise. Naturally, there’s no official confirmation at present. But Shankar did tease earlier today that he’s “working with an iconic Japanese gaming company to adapt one of their iconic video game series into a series.”

When Nintendo issues a new firmware update, it sometimes comes with a related controller update. That has happened once again with version 6.1.0.

With the latest Switch upgrade, you’ll find a Joy-Con controller update waiting for you. Access it by visiting the system settings, going to the “Controllers and Sensors” tab, and then selecting “Update Controllers”. We’re never quite sure what’s involved with these controller updates, but there’s certainly no harm in going through with the process.

Nintendo Switch

A new Switch system update has just gone live. Nintendo has started distribution of version 6.1.0 for all users.

According to Nintendo, today’s update makes “system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience”. This includes taking care of a problem “where certain games don’t recognize a Nintendo Switch Online membership for a short time after purchase”.

HoPiKo

Merge Games will soon be publishing the Laser Dog-developed game HoPiKo on Switch, the company has announced. Described as an “intense speed run platformer,” it’ll arrive on November 15.

The previously-announced One More Dungeon has been dated for Switch. The parody first-person shooter, coming from One More Dungeon Stately Snail, will be out via the eShop on November 2.

Fabraz has announced a new content update for the Switch eShop game SpiritSphere DX. Launching November 15, version 1.1 is adding Slime-san as a playable character, a dojo stage, and new spheres.

Diablo III Eternal Collection

Based on new findings from dataminers, Blizzard could be preparing Diablo III amiibo. New figures could be announced as early as this week.

What’s been located thus far is that three types of figures are supported. These include the default/generic amiibo, the Treasure Goblin amiibo, and Demon amiibo.

Following the news that SEGA Ages – Phantasy Star is coming to the Switch eShop on October 31, a handful of screenshots have been released. We have them in the gallery below.

This week, Ubisoft is bringing Risk to Switch. If you’d like to try out the digital board game, you might be interested to hear that a demo is starting to go live on the eShop.

Currently the demo can be found on the Japanese and Australian eShops. As long as you have a Nintendo Account associated with either of these regions, it should be available to download. Other regions will likely follow very soon as well.
