The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was purchased by a ton of series fans. However, the game’s success can also be attributed to entirely new players.
The Wall Street Journal writer Takashi Mochizuki passed along a comment made by Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima. In a brief statement, he said that entirely new players who hadn’t experienced Zelda before gave Breath of the Wild a shot after hearing about its strong reception.
Nintendo CEO: strong Zelda sales supported by longtime fans but also people who never played but heard latest is great. I'm one of them too.

Tekken 7 producer comments on possibility of Switch port

In a recent interview with Gamespot, Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada commented on the possibility of Tekken 7 arriving on the Nintendo Switch. When asked about what the future would hold for Tekken 7 fans on the Switch, Harada had this to say:
“Officially, we can’t really comment on that because our company has strict policy about which titles we talk about for Switch. But personally, we’ve been so busy with trying to master up Tekken for the current platforms that we haven’t really had enough time to study the hardware. We couldn’t even buy it–it was sold out every time we went to look for it.”
Unfortunately, it seems like the possibility of Tekken 7 coming to the Switch is far in the future, at best. You can read the full interview here.

Capcom: Monster Hunter XX and Generations doing well, Monster Hunter Stories “underperformed”
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 31 Comments
As was the case with Nintendo, Capcom reported its latest financial results today for the fiscal year ending in March. The company’s digital contents business experienced net sales of 58,704 million yen, up 11.7 percent year-over-year. On the other hand, operating income dropped 8.8 percent from last fiscal year, at 11,096 million yen. Net sales for Capcom’s entire business were 87,170 million yen for an increase of 13.2 percent year-over-year.
Capcom noted that Monster Hunter XX, which just shipped in Japan last month, “is off to a promising start”. Monster Hunter Generations (known as Monster Hunter X in Japan) also “achieved solid sales overseas”. The one disappointment in the series was the RPG Monster Hunter Stories – Capcom says it “underperformed.”
