Lost in Shadow is due out on the North American Wii U eShop tomorrow as a Wii download, according to Nintendo’s website. The game was made available digitally in Europe back in July.

Nintendo’s listing contains the following overview:

“When a boy becomes separated from his shadow, he must journey along with a sylph named Spangle to unlock the mysteries across the land shaded by the looming Tower. You will need to battle and find aid amongst the shadows as you manipulate light and traverse this alternate land where even gravity isn’t a factor.”

Lost in Shadow will cost $19.99 when it launches on the eShop.

Hyperlight EX heading to New 3DS next month

In 2011, CatfishBlues Games created the “arcade action game” known as Hyperlight for mobile. The title is now making the jump to New 3DS with several additional features.

Hyperlight EX is coming to the North American and Eurpoean 3DS eShops next month. It’ll feature revamped graphics, enhanced gameplay, and better controls.

Here’s an overview:

“Hyperlight is an high intensity arcade action game in which you control a spaceship that fights against hordes of evil alien monsters in a virtual cosmic environment. Your spaceship has a special capability: it can travel at a Faster Than Light speed (F.T.L.) becoming itself the final weapon. By colliding with enemies in this state the ship can instantly destroy everything it touches! Interviews with Pokemon Sun/Moon director Shigeru Ohmori and producer Junichi Masuda have been popping up left and right. Nintendo UK is throwing its hat into the ring with a discussion of its own. In Nintendo’s official interview, Ohmori and Masuda talked about featuring more expressive characters, what the inspiration was behind Z-Moves, the theme of relationships between people and Pokemon, and much more.

Nintendo to continue developing 3DS software

Switch, Nintendo’s next major platform, is just on the horizon. The system is due out in less than half a year. With Switch though, Nintendo isn’t pulling all of its eggs in one basket – at least not yet.

President Tatsumi Kimishima mentioned during a press conference today that Switch and 3DS are entirely different. More importantly though, he said Nintendo will continue to develop software for 3DS.

Beginning next year, Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World, Mario Sports Superstars, Ever Oasis, Pikmin, and the localized version of Dragon Quest VIII will head to 3DS. It’s unclear what Nintendo has in store beyond this. We also don’t know how long 3DS development will continue.
