Super Star Soldier hitting the European Wii U Virtual Console on Thursday

According to a listing on Nintendo’s website, Super Star Soldier is hitting the European Wii U Virtual Console this Thursday. The game is already available in North America having launched last month.

“Super Star Soldier is a classic vertical-scrolling shooting game. In addition to the NORMAL GAME, there are two minute and five minute Time Attack modes, and a mode where high scores can be checked. NORMAL GAME is made up of eight different stages, and in each stage (except Stage 7) a boss awaits you at the end.
The special attack squad, led by the Mother Brain, has launched an all-out invasion on Earth. Take your small-scale fighter, the Neo Caesar, with its arsenal of four regular weapons and two special weapons, and send them back where they belong!”

Dragon Quest XI Countdown Carnival Special Stage live stream airing on May 27

Square Enix is constantly releasing new Dragon Quest XI information, and that isn’t going to stop anytime soon. On May 27, a “Countdown Carnival Special Stage” live stream will air (Youtube link here). Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii will be there alongside Dragon Quest 11 producer Yosuke Saito to reveal more information about the game. Perhaps this will finally be the time we hear something concrete about the Switch version?

Pokemon Sun & Moon online services undergoing maintenance today/tomorrow

Nintendo scheduled a rather sudden maintenance period for Pokemon Sun & Moon. For three hours, all online services of both games will be unavailable. Below are the exact times:
– 5 PM PT (May 16) / 8 PM PT (May 16)
– 8 PM ET (May 16) – 11 PM ET (May 16)
– 1 AM in the UK (May 17) – 4 AM in the UK (May 17)
– 2: AM in Europe (May 17) – 5 AM in Europe (May 17)

Pokemon Sun and Moon Global Mission gifts available now

Fire Emblem Heroes – The final round of the Voting Gauntlet is live

After four days, the final round of the Voting Gauntlet is now live for players to try. The last battle will be between the previous victors Tharja and Robin (male). The event will last for 44 hours. You will also be able to collect your Hero Feathers from the last round as well now.

Elliot Quest developers already sent in patch to deal with slowdowns on 3DS

The PlayEveryWare Twitter has responded to a few people regarding slowdowns with the 3DS version of Elliot Quest. They have identified the problem as a memory leak that got past their QA tests and have already submitted a patch to Nintendo. They also offer a work around until the patch is live by stating players should restart the app every so often.

Pokemon Shuffle update (05/16/17): Araquanid, Primarina, Lycanroc Midday form special stages

Pokemon Shuffle has been updated today with some new special stages to try out. All of the following special stages will be available until May 30th.
Special stages for Araquanid, Lycanroc Midday form, and Primarina Escalation Battle have been added.
If you were ranked in the Decidueye competition then you can no receive your rewards: the Skill Swapper, Attack Power, Mega Speedup and Raise Max Level. If you did not get a rank you can still receive Attack Power. Just check in between now and May 23rd to obtain your prize.
