Yet another new tweet has been posted on the Japanese Zelda Twitter account. Today’s message is a little more interesting, as it contains concept art of Midna.

Here’s the translated tweet:

“…It’s Malo. This is Midna, the gal who is profusely well-informed about the Twilight Realm. Seems like there were various kinds of designs until her appearance became like this. Speaking of which, her name seems to come from midnight… “shadow” = “night” is simple, isn’t it.”

Hyrule Warriors Legends does not currently have an option to reset save data. For some players, they’ve found this to be a problem when they want to sell it to the used games market.

There is good news though! The official Hyrule Warriors Legends Japanese Twitter account acknowledged that you can’t clear save data, but they would like to implement this as soon as possible. It should be added in via an update sometime in the future.

Update: Updates notes are in, and Nintendo didn’t surprise us! It’s the standard line: “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience”. There’s been talk about the previous version causing issues with SD card corruption, so perhaps today’s patch addresses that.

Following last week’s firmware release, the 3DS has once again received another update. Version 10.5.0-30 is out now.

Nintendo has yet to share any notes about today’s update. Once they’re available, we’ll add them in here. I’d be surprised if it’s anything beyond improved stability though!

PuzzleBox Setup came to 3DS a little over a year ago. Bplus is now working on a “successor” of that title for Steam, which the developer is looking to have on NX as well.

Creator Bernd Geiblinger told one fan on Facebook the following when asked if an update to the 3DS version is planned to bring it in line with the Steam version:

“Not possible, this game is made for NX but modified to be released on Steam earlier, because sadly I’m not able to wait til NX and need to release this game soon.”

Geiblinger added that the Steam version will continue to grow with updates, and it will be possible to create levels that can be shared with NX players. Also, Bplus intends for the NX version to make use of eight colors as opposed to Steam’s limit of four thanks to the controls, “which opens possibilities to completely different pictures and modes for NX version.”

Here’s a look at the new version of PuzzleBox Setup:

Finally, regarding Bplus’ other 3DS game/franchise Bit Boy!!, Geiblinger teased the following for NX:

“You will definitely see Kubi traveling back to the old Bit-Eras on NX. Stay tuned. Cannot talk about something specific before Nintendo announces the new platform.”

It’s unclear how much Bplus actually knows about NX. It’s also unknown whether or not the indie developer currently has access to a development kit for the system.

Thanks to Arison for the tip.

Did legendary music artist Michael Jackson contribute to Sonic the Hedgehog 3’s soundtrack? That question has long been something that no one has been able to answer with absolute certainty. However, a new article from may finally clear up the situation.

The Huffington Post reached out to several songwriters who were involved with Sonic 3. Brad Buxer, Doug Grigsby III, and Cirocco Jones all claim that Jackson did indeed work with them on the game’s music. Not only that, but the three men also say that these tunes ended up in the final game.

Here’s the notable excerpt from The Huffington Post’s piece:

“Sega maintains it never worked with Jackson on Sonic 3, and is “not in the position to respond” to questions about allegations to the contrary. “We have nothing to comment on the case,” the company said.

But the men whom Sega credited with writing the music say otherwise. Six men — Brad Buxer, Bobby Brooks, Doug Grigsby III, Darryl Ross, Geoff Grace and Cirocco Jones — are listed as songwriters in Sonic 3’s endgame scroll. Buxer, Grigsby and Jones tell The Huffington Post that Jackson worked with them on a soundtrack for Sonic 3 — and that the music they created with Jackson ended up in the final product.”
