Another new Twilight Princess HD tweet has been posted on the series’ Japanese Twitter page. Today, “Malo” talks about the Zora tribe and shows off some art.
Here’s our translation:
“…It’s Malo. This is the battle mask worn by the Zora tribe… but there are more variations than I thought. Were they in bad terms against the Goron tribe in the past…? Many of them were used specifically for raids, but on the contrary I think they look more conspicuous…”
Nintendo shares new statement about Fire Emblem Fates’ petting mini-game

Nintendo has issued a new statement regarding the petting mini-game in Fire Emblem Fates. Here it is in full:
“In certain circumstances, S-Level characters are able to wake up their spouses by blowing into the microphone or by tapping the screen to touch their hair, face or shoulder. These randomly triggered events are unrelated to the mini-game in the Japanese version.”
This statement essentially confirms what we heard from GameSpot last week. Fire Emblem Fates’ petting mini-game is indeed cut in the western version. However, it’s possible to wake up spouses by tapping the screen or blowing into the 3DS’ microphone – that’s it. There’s nothing extra beyond this in the overseas release.

Pokken Tournament’s main lineup of content won’t be expanded – at least right out of the gate. It’s been said that there are currently no plans to release more Pokemon or stages via downloadable content. Will that change at any point in the future? That remains to be seen.

January 2016 NPD: Estimated Wii U sales, Mario & Luigi and Final Fantasy Explorers sales
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Wii U | 8 Comments
More information is in from this month’s NPD report. We have sales data from the United States for one of Nintendo’s systems as well as two games.
First, in terms of hardware, Wii U sold roughly 40,000 units. Debut sales for Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam and Final Fantasy Explorers also came in at 71,000 and 53,000 copies respectively.
With the games, it’s important to remember that digital sales are not included. They also launched pretty late in January, so they only have about a week of data.

During the New York Toy Fair 2016, Scott Neitlich from Jakks Pacific indicated that the company has more plans for its World of Nintendo line. Neitlich told VideoGameHeat that Splatoon figures are in the pipeline. That would be rather interesting, as we’ve yet to see any Jakks Pacific merchandise based on Splatoon as of yet.
Here is the brief statement from Neitlich:
