The THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2023 will air on August 11, it’s just been announced. The event will go live at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET / 8 PM in the UK / 9 PM in Europe.
HandyGames will start off with a pre-show to give fans a taste of their titles. The actual THQ Nordic showcase will immediately follow, featuring “a whole host of game announcements and project updates.”

Action puzzle game Gematombe heading to Switch next week

Gematombe is heading to Switch in just a few days, publisher Ratalaika Games and developer Route 5 Games have announced. A release is planned for April 28, 2023.
Gematombe is an action puzzle game that can be played either against a friend or console. We have a ton of additional information in the following overview:

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet hosting distributions for TM116 and TM132

Two more distributions have just started up in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, with codes for TM116 and TM132 now available. These are for Stealth Rock and Baton Pass respectively.
Stealth Rock is lays a trap of stones around the foe, so when an opponent switches in a Pokemon, it’ll take damage. As for Baton Pass, it switches out the user and passes all temporary stat stage increases and decreases.

AurumDust has been tinkering away on Ash of Gods: The Way, and it’s confirmed that it’ll be appearing on Switch in just a few days. Fans can pick it up on April 27, 2023.
Ash of Gods: The Way is a turn-based tactical battle game. It’s the second entry in the series following Ash of Gods: Redemption, which is a turn-based RPG with tactical combat.

A Guidebook of Babel release date set for August

Publisher Pixmain and developer StarryStarry today shared a release date for A Guidebook of Babel, an upcoming “plot adventure game”. It will be available worldwide on August 3, 2023.
A Guidebook of Babel was previously announced for Switch last May. The project was originally planned for last fall, but we’re hearing that the team spent about a year on polishing.

GigaBash coming to Switch

Passion Republic Games is working to bring GigaBash to Switch, it’s been confirmed. That news comes courtesy of a new eShop listing.
GigaBash originally released last year. It’s officially described as “a multiplayer arena brawler with gigantic film-inspired kaiju, larger than life heroes, earth-shattering special attacks and fully destructible environments.”

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet update out now (version 1.3.0), patch notes

A new update has just been released for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, with version 1.3.0 now being distributed.
One of the major issues dealt with here addresses players who caught an Egg instead of Walking Wake or Iron Leaves in a Tera Raid Battle from awhile back. This impacted those who hadn’t updated to version 1.2.0. The Tera Raid Battle events for Walking Wake and Iron Leaves is also returning shortly.
On top of that, a bunch of different bug fixes have been implemented.
The full patch notes for the Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet version 1.3.0 update are as follows:
