Nintendo’s own Bill Trinen will be participating in a Smash Bros. tournament at EVO 2015. Trinen’s starting pool is D46, which can be viewed in full here.

Trinen officially confirmed his participation for EVO 2015 through the following Twitter message:

EVO 2015 is happening tween July 17 and July 19. Trinen will be one of nearly 2,000 gamers taking part in the Smash Bros. Wii U tournament.

Update: Amazon – Pre-orders open for Shovel Knight’s physical version

Update (7/3): Bumped to the top. Amazon’s pre-orders are now live as well. Get the Wii U version here, and the 3DS version here.

Retailers are beginning to take pre-orders for Shovel Knight’s physical version, which was officially confirmed yesterday. You can reserve the game on Best Buy here and GameStop here.

Shovel Knight is coming to retail on October 13. Copies are priced at $19.99.

Pokken Tournament getting another live stream on July 16, screenshots and art

Bandai Namco held a stream for Pokken Tournament earlier today. In about two weeks, another broadcast will be held.

We can expect the next Pokken Tournament stream at the following times on July 16:

– 2 AM PT – 3:30 AM PT
– 5 AM ET – 7:30 AM PT
– 10 AM in the UK – 12:30 PM in the UK
– 11 AM in Europe – 1:30 PM in Europe

7th Dragon III Code: VFD screenshots/art, stream reminder

SEGA shared an official batch of screenshots for 7th Dragon III Code: VFD today. The images are a mix of old and new, though the old ones now come without Famitsu’s watermark.

Remember: SEGA will host a live stream for 7th Dragon III Code: VFD tomorrow at 6 AM ET / 3 AM PT / 11 AM in the UK / 12 PM in Europe. It will be shown here.

On the live stream, SEGA will have news about the game’s music, theme song, characters, systems, and more. Voice actress Tomomi Isomura will MC the event, and voice actress Yu Kobayashi. Guests include character designer Shirow Miwa, composer Yuzo Koshiro, theme song singer Sasakure.UK, and director Masayuki Kawabata.
