These details come from Capcom’s live stream for Mega Man Legacy Collection that was held yesterday…
- Rapid fire is in and totally optional
- No shoulder button weapon switching
- Menus use Japanese artwork; U.S/EU packaging in the museum
- Complete Works arranged music on menus, not in-game
- All six games retain the one frame button lag from NES
- Menu colors are based on the original Mega Man color coordinates from Capom’s old licensing manual
- Replays limited to 100 individual replays
- One save slot per game
- Considering a hot key for save/load state
- There’s a platinum trophy for PlayStation 4
- No Navi Mode (i.e in-game hints)
- The intent of this collection is to present MM1-6 on modern consoles in the highest quality possible. *If* sales are good, they will consider collecting other Mega Man games.
- No 3DS details until much later
- They did not specify why the Wii U is being left out, just one of those “not right now” answers

– The various Mario generations have different rule sets
– Ex: 8-bit Mario can’t pick up a koopa shell, while the others can
– When you upload a level, it must have been beaten at least once, by you
– This is an effort to avoid totally unbeatable levels
– The disc will ship with several levels on it
– Levels can be downloaded and altered, but never re-uploaded
– This is to ensure that a level remains locked to its rightful owner
– You can only upload 10 total levels at one time
– This number can increase though if your levels are popular and receive lots of positive votes
– There is a 100 Mario challenge that involve playing randomly selected courses from across the internet
– There are curated lists by Nintendo, you can track a specific uploader, or browse using all kinds of specific filters
– A stage’s difficulty rating is dynamically set
– The more players who can finish it, the easier the rating will be
– The Mystery Mushroom changes Mario, but only cosmetically, so he will still function the same for all gameplay purposes
– Scan amiibo to play as them, but only when you find a Mystery Mushroom
– Link, Marth, Isabelle, Yoshi, Luigi, Wii Fit Trainer are confirmed amiibo thus far
– It is unclear if these other characters can also grab power ups, or how long you will even remain in this form
– Enemies can be spawned from blocks, even from power up blocks
– Mario can utilize various transportation items, even Bowsers floating ship from the end of Super Mario World
– Enemies can be placed in the water even if they don’t naturally live there, examples being Goombas and Bowser
– Enemies who didn’t normally have 8-bit sprites now have them, such as Wiggler
– Baby Bowser is in the game
– Enemies can appear from pipes, even if they don’t belong in there, such as fish or Koopas
– Magi Koopa is also in the game
– As if Bowser needed help, but it was shown that players can place items on him
– Playtest the game immediately by double tapping the screen

Metroid Prime: Blast Ball details
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 6 Comments
– Blast Ball is a part of Metroid Prime: Federation Force
– Teams of 3
– Go into Metroid-style mechs
– Use a first-person perspective and a massive arm-mounted cannon
– Try to knock an enormous, electrified orb into the opposing team’s goal
– Much like first-person soccer
– Keep the ball at bay with your blaster rather than your foot
– If you’re hit with the ball, your suit takes damage
– Taking too much damage means you need to wait to respawn
– Can also take damage from enemy fire
– Circle Pad: movement
– B button: jump
– A button: fire your cannon
– Fire the cannon in rapid bursts with quick presses, or a charged shot if held down
– Hold down “R” to strafe with the Circle Pad or fine-tune your aim with the gyroscope
– L button: lock onto the ball, keeping it front and center in your visor’s Prime-style display.
– While locked on to the ball, your mech’s lateral movement is much slower than you’d expect
– HUD cracks when you take too much damage
– Smooth frame rate
