Earlier this week, Nintendo updated the trademarks for Eternal Darkness and the Wii Vitality Sensor in the United States. Both were updated on December 17. There’s some talk about both products seeing some sort of development, but I’m not quite willing to go that far… yet.

Nintendo is promoting the success of Wii U and 3DS games on Metacritic in a new infographic published today.
The image notes that there are 19 current-gen retail games on both platforms that secured a score of 85 or above on Metacritic as well as a User Score of 8.5 or better. That’s compared to just 8 titles on all other consoles.

Rumor: iNiS tried making an Ouendan title for Wii
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii | 1 Comment
iNiS made two Ouendan for the DS back in the day. Supposedly, there were plans to create a third entry for Wii.
Unseen64’s Liam Robertson was in communication with “a very trusted source”, who spoke with iNiS’ president and was informed about the company’s intentions to bring Ouendan to Wii. It’s unclear why those plans never materialized. Robertson hopes to learn more about the situation in the future.
So, take this for what it is, but it sounds like iNiS was trying to make a third Ouendan game for Wii a few years ago.

This comes from a very trusted source who spoke with their president at the time. I hope we can speak to him ourselves and find out more!

Target apparently not taking anymore pre-orders for Rosalina & Luma amiibo
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 10 Comments
There were two very brief periods earlier this week when consumers could get online pre-orders in for the Rosalina & Luma amiibo over at Target. We didn’t mention that here since we assumed reservations would be available for a decent amount of time much like the Shulk, Meta Knight, and Lucario figures, which are exclusive to GameStop, Best Buy, and Toys “R” Us respectively. However, that’s apparently not the case.
Target’s PR team has provided the response below about the Rosalina pre-order situation:
“Rosalina Amiibo pre-orders were available on Target.com and based on guest demand, sold out quickly. Target stores and Target.com will begin to sell actual units on February 1, 2015.”
When asked if this means online pre-orders are finished for Rosalina, Target said: “That is correct”.

Curve Studios released a patch for Stealth Inc 2. It’s on the minor side of things, as the update simply addresses an issue with hats.
Curve Studios shared Stealth Inc 2’s patch news on Twitter earlier today:
We've just released a patch for Stealth 2 which fixes an issue with the hats. Go forth and don or un-don whatever headwear you wish!

Toys “R” Us cancels a bunch of amiibo pre-orders, re-opens reservations for Lucario and more
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 14 Comments
Last night, Toys “R” Us went on an amiibo cancelling binge. I would know, as I received three such notices for Lucario, Pit, and Captain Falcon.
Strangely enough, several amiibo are now back in stock and are available for pre-order again – namely Lucario, Ike, and King Dedede. Hopefully Toys “R” Us doesn’t pull any additional stunts!
