Rumor: F-Zero Twitter account from Nintendo potentially found
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, Rumors | 0 comments
After fans came across a potential Twitter account for Super Mario’s 35th anniversary, they’ve again been poking around the social media website to find other possible hidden user names from Nintendo. That sleuthing may now have resulted in a discovery tied to F-Zero.
The account in question is @FZeroJP. Just like the Super Mario account, it has the same “aaaaaaa” handle. By attempting to reset the account password, we can see that an email would be sent to n*******.**.**, which could very well be nintendo.co.jp – Nintendo’s Japanese website. We also know that the account was registered on March 16, so it’s not someone simply trying to piggyback off of the Super Mario findings from earlier this week.

Rumor: Possible Super Mario 35th anniversary Twitter account discovered
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Switch | 0 comments
Rumors surfaced earlier this year that Nintendo supposedly has major plans surrounding Mario’s 35th anniversary. The biggest thing we had heard about concerned re-releases of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy. A port of Super Mario 3D World is also said to be in the works.
VGC has now been tipped off by a reader of a @SuperMario35th account on Twitter, which was registered earlier in the year. It has a recovery email that could use Nintendo’s Japanese domain address, but we don’t have official confirmation at this time.

Nintendo and LEGO kicked off a new partnership with LEGO Super Mario. It seems that the two sides will be collaborating beyond LEGO, as a new leak has apparently outed the existence of the LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System.
The upcoming product features a small TV and cartridge. In total, it comes with 2,646 pieces.

Rumor: Tomb Raider: The Ultimate Experience potentially in the works, coming to Switch
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Switch | 0 comments
Game Rant has got its hands on a supposed promo image showing an apparent upcoming project from Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics titled Tomb Raider: The Ultimate Experience.
The art shows off three different generations of Tomb Raider. If accurate, we could be getting a package featuring the original trilogy, games from the latter half of the 2000s, and the most recent entries.
The image alone doesn’t make this official, as there’s no way to confirm currently if it comes from Square Enix or was fan-made. We do see an apparent August 27 release date on the promo piece, so we should be hearing about Tomb Raider: The Ultimate Experience soon if it’s actually real.
Rumor: Spanish voice actors for Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 indicate their work is already done
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Switch | 0 comments
Update: Despite GameReactor’s report in native Spanish (which was written by one of the outlet’s Spanish editors), it seems that the site may have been reaching. Numerous GameXplain viewers have indicated that the discussion was more of the voice actors joking around about embargos, and was taken out of context. GameReactor’s original report has also been updated to reflect this.
Original: Nintendo announced The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 just over a year ago. But given the silence since then, fans have been hoping to receive any sort of update pertaining to the game.
One possible hint regarding the project’s status may have come about thanks to comments from its Spanish voice actors. Marc Navarro and Nerea Alfonso, who voice Revali and Zelda respectively, indicated that their work has already wrapped up.
Rumor: EA’s upcoming Switch games include Velan Studios’ debut title, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, Plants vs. Zombies Battle for Neighborville

During its EA Play Live presentation, it was announced that EA will be putting seven games on Switch over the next year. Two were confirmed at the time: Apex Legends and Burnout Paradise Remastered. The other titles weren’t named, but since Lost in Random and FIFA 21 Legacy Edition were confirmed for Switch after the presentation, that leaves three mystery projects.
VentureBeat claims to have insight into EA’s plans. The site has accurately reported on Nintendo rumors this year and indicated that Apex Legends would be announced for Switch, which was later confirmed during EA Play Live.
Rumor: Pokemon Sword/Shield – possible list of returning Pokemon for The Crown Tundra
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Switch | 0 comments
The Isle of Armor DLC for Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield added in just over 100 returning Pokemon from previous games. Later this year, there’ll be another drop of familiar creatures. Game Freak intends to bring back even more Pokemon for the launch of The Crown Tundra this fall.
We won’t have the official lineup of returning Pokemon from the second DLC until the official release. However, based on findings from The Isle of Armor, we may have the potential list. As spotted by Twitter user abcboy101, Game Freak has apparently deleted certain entries from the Pokedex while others have been left blank (aside from Mewtwo, Mew, Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion, which are already available but not with Pokedex entries). The Pokemon that were deleted are rumored to be returning since something similar took place prior to the arrival of The Isle of Armor.
Here’s the list making the rounds:

Rumor: Super Monkey Ball announcer indicates that SEGA is making a new entry
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, Rumors | 0 comments
After the series went on hiatus for a few years, Super Monkey Ball returned in 2019. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD, a redone version of the 2006 Wii game, made it to Switch and other platforms back in October. Now it appears that SEGA is continuing on with the franchise and is working on a new entry.
That news actually comes from Brian Matt-Uhl, the original announcer for the Super Monkey Ball series. Nick Robinson was told in an interview that he’s been working on a new game and has already recorded lines. The project is said to be well in development.

Rumor: AT&T looking into possibly selling off Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, Rumors | 0 comments
CNBC is reporting that AT&T is looking into a possible sale of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the gaming division of WarnerMedia. If it goes through, the deal could be valued at roughly $4 billion.
CNBC does note that a sale going through isn’t a sure thing, and nothing is “imminent”. However, a number of companies have expressed interest in picking up Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, including Take-Two Interactive Software, Electronic Arts, and Activision Blizzard. AT&T may pursue a deal in which it can continue to receive revenue from its IP.
