3DS eShop

Starfish ended up on the Japanese 3DS eShop last year courtesy of Starfish. It’ll soon be heading west as well.

A release date is currently unknown, but a listing on Nintendo’s website reveals that Rising Star Games is handling Elminage Original in overseas countries. The dungeon-crawler is confirmed for North America, and will likely be offered in Europe as well.

The Nintendo eShop on Switch, 3DS and Wii U will undergo maintenance next week for a period of two hours, during which it will be unavailable. The exact times are below:

  • 3 PM PT (May 8) – 5 PM PT (May 8)
  • 6 PM ET (May 8) – 8 PM ET (May 8)
  • 11 PM in the UK (May 8) – 1 AM in the UK (May 9)
  • 12 AM in Europe (May 9) – 2 AM in Europe (May 9)

It’s Tuesday, so it’s time for another Pokemon Shuffle update! Continuing on from last week, more Pokemon from Alola have been added to the game.

Three new special stages have been added: an Incineroar Escalation Battle stage, a Salazzle high-speed battle stage and a stage for Alolan Ninetales. All of those stages will be available until May 16th.

The Passimian Try ’em Items stage has been added to the rotation. It will be available every other week.

Finally, all players can get Alolan Vulpix as a gift.

Yacht Club Games recently revealed a cheat code for Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment changes the way Specter Knight wall jumps to be more in line with the wall jumping from Mega Man X. There are two versions of the cheat, both of which are identical except for the color palette swap that comes with the changed wall jump mechanics. One will turn Specter Knight blue, and the other will change him to red, both of which are likely homages to X and Zero from Mega Man X.

You can find Yacht Club’s Twitter posts, in which they reveal the cheat code, below. For those of you eager to relive the glory days of Mega Man X, the cheat codes are as follows:

  • For the blue palette, enter C&MVRKHNT when making a profile.
  • For the red palette, enter  S&CBHR when making a profile.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

A few new games out came out this week on the Wii U and 3DS eShops. If you’re interested in checking out what’s new in screenshot form, take a look at the gallery below.

It’s been a long wait for Elliot Quest on 3DS. After it was announced two years ago, that version of the game is finally complete. PlayEveryWare has confirmed a release date of May 11.

Elliot Quest will support stereoscopic 3D on 3DS. The team also added special collectibles, multiple save slots, and EFIGS localization.
