Bases Loaded 2016 is in the works for 3DS, this week’s issue of Famitsu reveals. Mebius is leading the way on the project.

Bases Loaded 2016 seems to retain the 8-bit graphics that the 1987 game is known for. However, it will have new features like supporting versus through local play. You’ll also be able to create your own athlete and team. The athlete’s name, uniform, hairstyle, and stats can be freely edited.

Bases Loaded 2016 launches later this year in Japan as an eShop download. It should cost 864 yen.

Capcom is bringing another release to the North American New 3DS Virtual Console. As of tomorrow, Final Fight 2 will be available, according to Nintendo’s website.

A listing provides the following overview:

“It’s been several years since peace settled in Metro City. With Cody and Jessica on vacation and Guy resuming his training out of town, everything seems to be in order. But recently, Haggar is feeling uneasy after learning that Mad Gear was not completely destroyed.

Once again the Mad Gear Gang has emerged and this time they want revenge. They’ll stop at nothing to bring Haggar and the entire world down to its knees. This time they’ve kidnapped Guy’s master, Genryusai and his daughter, Rena.

Now Haggar must travel the four corners of the globe to search for Genryusai and Rena. With the help of Maki and Carlos, the reign of the Mad Gear Gang will hopefully be destroyed.”

Pricing for Final Fight 2 is set at $7.99.
