Reggie says Nintendo will “have a big E3 this year”, showcasing games for both Switch and 3DS
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Switch | 170 Comments
You never quite know what you’ll get out of Nintendo from E3. A few years ago, the big N ditched conferences on stage in favor of Digital Events. In 2016, they scrapped its usual pre-recorded presentation entirely and had Zelda: Breath of the Wild as its only playable game.
So what’s in store for this year? Going off of a new statement from Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, who recently spoke with Fox News, fans can expect “a big E3”. In addition to games for Switch, Nintendo will be showing what it has in store for 3DS.

Monster Hunter XX sold through 72% of initial shipment
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 11 Comments
Monster Hunter XX launched in Japan on March 18, and had a big impact on the Japanese market. Overall software sales were 1,341,000 units during the week of March 13, which is 249.05 percent compared to the previous week. For hardware, 138,000 units were sold (105.3 percent compared to the previous week).
Monster Hunter XX itself sold 848,000 copies. The game’s success helped contribute to overall software sales surpassing one million units since Christmas week last year. 3DS sales also up 178.54 percent from last week.
However, Monster Hunter XX’s sales are 60 percent of the original base game (first week 1,488,000 copies, 91.84 percent sell-through) and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (first week 1,446,000 copies, 85.40 percent sell-through). Monster Hunter XX’s sell-through rate is 72.39 percent, which is also ten points less than the former two, so Media Create says it may be considered as lacking for a Monster Hunter game.

Inazuma Eleven Ares will be on 3DS, also planned for “higher quality game machine”
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 8 Comments
When Level-5 announced Inazuma Eleven Ares last year, the company did so without announcing any platforms. But during the fourth Inazuma Walker live stream today, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino finally shared some news.
Hino said that, in addition to 3DS, Inazuma Eleven Ares will be on some other platform. “It may also release on what you would call a higher quality game machine… perhaps,” Hino teased.
Switch could certainly be one possibility. With Inazuma Eleven Ares featuring toys and Nintendo’s new system having an NFC reader, a release on the new console would make sense.
You can watch the full, three-hour broadcast of Inazuma Walker below, which even includes trailers for The Snack World anime.
