Media Create reported this week that Persona Q2 sold 80,000 copies in its first week. The sales tracker has since provided additional tidbits about the game’s performance.

Compared to the first game, Persona Q2 didn’t do quite as well. The original managed to sell 187,000 units in its first week. Also, while that title sold through 80.64% of its initial shipment, Persona Q2 sold through 64.54%.

While that may seem a tad disappointing, Persona Q2 did have the best opening week of any 3DS game in Japan this year. It surpassed Etrian Odyssey Nexus’ number of 72,000 copies. Given that the momentum for 3DS hardware is on the downturn and interest has shifted to Switch, Persona Q2 had a decent result in the end.

Nintendo is continuing to support the 3DS with new themes. This week, two more Pokemon designs were added to the shop.

Pokemon: Team Aqua and Pokemon: Team Magma are out now in North America, Europe, and Japan. They’re priced at $1.99 each.

Masahiro Sakurai is so closely associated with the Smash Bros. series that it can sometimes be easy to forget about his other projects. But back in 2012, he managed to successfully bring back the Kid Icarus series with Kid Icarus: Uprising on 3DS.

Kid Icarus: Uprising earned a great deal of praise, though some players were a bit frustrated by the controls. That’s one of the reasons why fans have been interested in seeing it ported to a new system – like Switch perhaps? However, in a recent interview, Sakurai shot down the idea.

Yo-kai Watch 3 initially launched in Japan with “Sushi” and “Tempura” versions. A year later, a third “Sukiyaki” version was released. What does this mean for the western version of Yo-kai Watch 3?

This was initially unclear, but Nintendo and Level-5 did something rather interesting for Yo-kai Watch 3 in the west. As it turns out, all three versions were combined into one game. That means every Yo-kai can be obtained in a single save file.

For Yo-kai Watch 2, Nintendo originally brought Fleshy Souls and Bony Spirits to the west. Psychic Specters would come out a year later. Fortunately, we’re avoiding a similar situation with Yo-kai Watch 3.
