Nintendo has sent out a few images showing the new Splatoon Mii costumes in Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS. Check them out below.

Marvelous posted a first blog on its website for Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven. In today’s piece, gamers are introduced to the game’s combat.

Below are a few excerpts:

Combat in Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven takes place on a turn by turn basis, with a focus on strategy and party dynamics. As you progress throughout the game more faeries are introduced to your roster, which drastically increases the possible party combinations and strategies.

A central feature of the combat system is the ability to ‘bowl over’ enemies in a cascading fashion. Attacks must be placed precisely to ensure maximum damage. Knocking over a certain amount of enemies in one attack leads to an added bonus of an extra move, and this can be the difference between success and failure as the action heats up.

Tactical combat isn’t the only fun to be had however. One of our personal favourite elements of the game is the interactions between Luchs and the various Faeires. We’ll go into more detail in an upcoming article.

As part of today’s financial results, Nintendo included a section of text that acts as an outlook for the next fiscal year.

Nintendo mentions that it will look to maintain the performance of already-released games for Wii U and 3DS and bring out new titles for their systems. That means DLC for games like Smash Bros., brand new first-party experiences, and “a number of key titles” from third-parties. The new Rhythm Heaven is mentioned, so people are speculating that it’s coming west. I’m personally not ready to go that far yet!

Nintendo has a few other plans in store for this fiscal year. The company will introduce cards, the Yoshi amiibo, and NFC Reader/Writer accessory for regular 3DS systems. Nintendo is also counting on a new source of revenue in the mobile space.

Head past the break to read up on Nintendo’s outlook below.

One of the big takeaways here is that Nintendo has finally returned to a full-year profit. The company also beat estimates from the financial community. For the overall year, Wii U sales are up, though 3DS sales fell a bit. A large part of Nintendo’s success resulted from the popularity of amiibo.
