Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, New Nintendo 3DS, News | 1 Comment
Nintendo will be appearing at the first PAX South event in San Antonio, Texas later this week, the company announced today.
Attendees will be able to go hands on with the New 3DS XL before it launches on February 13. Additionally, Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS will be playable.
Nintendo is celebrating the upcoming launch of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D with a “72-Hour Mask Challenge”. This asks fans to create their own personalized masks. More information will be published on Nintendo of America’s Twitter account.
Also tying in to promote Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, fans will be able to take photos with a real-life replica of the Majora’s Mask and receive paper versions to wear around the convention (while supplies last). Those who come dressed in costumes inspired by The Legend of Zelda will be able to bypass lines to get hands-on time with the 3DS game.
PAX South runs between January 23 and January 25. Head past the break for today’s complete announcement.

That means it’s no longer available for pre-order in these two territories, though Nintendo says more stock is coming in March. Be sure to keep track of what’s happening at retailers as there will only be a “limited quantity” of units.

GameStop accepting payments for lost Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL pre-orders, more stock may arrive on Tuesday
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in New Nintendo 3DS, News | 3 Comments
Some GameStop pre-orders for the Zelda: Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL were a bit screwy this week. Certain consumers experienced issues checking out and were unable to complete their order, yet still received an email confirmation.
It turns out that GameStop’s payment system encountered problems. While the handheld was reserved, consumers will have until the end of business day on Monday to pay for it. Systems that aren’t claimed will reenter GameStop’s system on Tuesday.
If you were one of the people who encountered a similar situation, be sure to pay as soon as possible. As for those who still want a Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL but haven’t been able to get an order in, be on the lookout on Tuesday.
