Master Detective Archives: Rain Code Mysteriful Limited Edition

Original (9/20): Spike Chunsoft will release a Mysteriful Limited Edition for Master Detective Archives: Rain Code, it’s been revealed.

In addition to the game, buyers will receive a few extra goodies. An outerbox with exclusive art from Rui Komatsuzaki, a steelbook, spirited 6.5″ Shinigami plush, and Noise of Neon soundtrack composed by Masafumi Takada will be included. You’ll also be getting an art book featuring commentary from Kazutaka Kodaka, Rui Komatsuzaki, and Shimadoriru.

Melty Blood: Type Lumina update 1.3.7

A new Melty Blood: Type Lumina update is here – specifically version 1.3.7.

As part of the update, ten remastered music tracks have been added. Bug fixes and more are also included.

Trinity Trigger Day 1 Edition

Original (10/7): XSEED Games has revealed special editions for Trinity Trigger and Loop8: Summer of Gods, with the two RPGs set to receive a Day 1 Edition and Celestial Edition respectively.

The Day 1 Edition for Trinity Trigger in the west has a 5.25” by 7.25” softcover artbook brimming with over 100 pages of game artwork from esteemed artists Yuki Nobuteru and Raita Kazama along with a two-disc soundtrack featuring the moving game score by composer Hiroki Kikuta, packaged together with the game in a custom box.

Wayward Strand update 1.0.3

Ghost Pattern has issued a new version 1.0.3 update for Wayward Strand on Switch.

Various improvements and fixes are included here. Gameplay, menus, and options have all been touched up in one way or another.

The stealth action game Kamiwaza: Way of the Thief – returning from the PS2 era – is celebrating its launch on Switch with a new trailer. NIS America has started to release the game today.

Pokemon Scarlet Violet October 12

The Pokemon Company has confirmed that more news for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet is incoming, with the next information drop planned for tomorrow, October 12. We should at the very least be seeing a new trailer at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe.

Updates surrounding Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet are starting to come fast and furious with the games releasing in about a month. Last week, a 14-minute gameplay trailer was shared and it included the reveal of Farigiraf. The week prior, Wiglett was revealed as another new creature. September provided its own new trailer plus the reveals of Armarouge, Ceruledge, and Klawf.

Switch controller update 15.0.0

Switch received its new 15.0.0 firmware update last night, and tying in with that, there’s a controller-specific update as well. Seemingly this is just for the Pro Controller – there does not appear to be anything new with the Joy-Con.

When Nintendo provides a controller update, it typically doesn’t say what it includes. However, those that have dug into version 15.0.0 have found that the Pro Controller Bluetooth firmware was updated.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Nopon Archsage

Nintendo and Monolith Soft have introduced the Nopon Archsage, who will be featured in Wave 2 of the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass and ties into Challenge Battles.

Challenge Battles are accessible by walking up to a portal located in Llyn Nyddwr. This can be found in the Fornis Region, specifically Ribbi Flats. After entering the portal, you’ll end up in the Land of Challenges. The Nopon Archsage is here and there’s more to him than meets the eye. He’s voiced by Akio Ootsuka in the Japanese version – that’s actually the same person who voiced Consul Z.

Pompom release date

A final release date has come in for the Switch version of Pompom. The 2D platformer is slated for October 25, publisher PID Games and developer Tomo Camp announced today.

A new update for SD Gundam Battle Alliance will be rolling out this week, Bandai Namco have announced. The timing of the update varies by region – it should be available today in North America, and tomorrow in Europe and Japan – and it will provide numerous pieces of additional content and bug fixes.
