Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ next notable update has arrived. Nintendo just started the distribution of version 1.7.0.

As a reminder, here’s what’s included:

NintendoMemo shared a few images today that are a real blast from the past. Back when Nintendo was still settling on how Wii would be presented to the world, the company came up with a ton of logo ideas. Only one was chosen in the end, but images now uploaded from Nintendo’s 2007 Company Handbook highlight the many different designs that were considered at one point or another.

A bunch of footage came in for the Switch release of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury earlier today, which gave a look at the new campaign. However, none of the videos showed actually showed off the boss fight with Fury Bowser. That’s now changed thanks to a minute-long gameplay clip.

Colossus Down

Mango Protocol will have Colossus Down, the third game in the Psychotic Adventures saga, ready to go on Switch tomorrow. Take a look at some footage below.

Pokemon GO

Niantic is gearing up for another month of events in Pokemon GO. The company today detailed what it has in store for February 2021, including quality-of-life updates.

Balan Wonderworld

Ahead of its release in March, Balan Wonderworld has received a new demo on the Switch eShop. It’ll be available everywhere on January 28, though some regions already have access.

Jack Jeanne

Earlier today, Broccoli issued a new demo for its opera-themed otome game Jack Jeanne. It’s live right now on the Japanese Switch eShop.

Crunching Koalas and Studio Gauntlet have shared a launch trailer for Bonkies, the couch co-op construction builder. View it below.

Bonkies arrives for Switch as an eShop download on January 29.

Gal Gun Returns

A new batch of footage has arrived for Gal Gun Returns ahead of its upcoming release on Switch. Take a look at the gameplay below.

Gal Gun Returns will initial release in Japan and Asia on January 28. North America and Europe are getting the game on February 12.

Super Mario Bros. 35

Super Mario Bros. 35 recently held a World Count Challenge in which players were tasked with collectively defeating 3.5 million Bowsers between January 18 and January 25. There’s good news to share, as that total has been surpassed.

Nintendo says that players defeated 5,363,696 times. Since the goal was met, individual players who took down at least one Bowser are eligible to receive 350 My Nintendo Platinum Points. Nintendo hasn’t said when exactly these points will be available, but they should be applied to accounts in the near future.
