Eiji Aonuma discusses how Zelda: Link’s Awakening influenced Ocarina of Time

Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma wasn’t originally involved with the creation of Link’s Awakening. He was just a player at the time, but his time with that game would later influence the series in a big way.
Aonuma’s first major role with Zelda came about when he served as director on Ocarina of Time. Speaking in last month’s issue of EDGE, he revealed how Link’s Awakening ended up influencing the making of the N64 title, stating:

As previously mentioned, a new Dynamax Camera website recently opened in which fans can add Dynamax Pokemon to their pictures. There’s another unexpected element to the site since it appears to have information on codenames for Galar Pokemon and possible evolutions.

Nintendo was reportedly aggressive in trying to lower Switch Lite price to $200

The Switch Lite is significantly cheaper than the original system. This new version costs $200, whereas the main launch device is still set at $300. It was all very calculated, as Nintendo “wanted to make it cheaper for a bigger impact and to make sure it will be a big hit in the U.S.,” according to The Wall Street Journal’s Takashi Mochizuki.

Super Rare Games has opened pre-orders for the physical version of The Darkside Detective. If interested, you can reserve it here. Copies should begin to ship on September 23.
Only 5,000 units will be produced. Each copy comes with the game on a physical cartridge, interior art, a full-color manual, exclusive sticker, and three-card trading card pack.
Physical version of Shakedown: Hawaii for Switch available next week, collector’s edition planned

The physical version of Shakedown: Hawaii will be available starting next week, Vblank Entertainment has announced. Copies will be sold on the company’s website on September 25 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM in the UK / 7 PM in Europe.
4,000 units will be made for a special collector’s edition. It includes a physical copy of the game, an exclusive mini figure of The CEO character with a removable stand, a color manual, and a collector’s box.
Pricing for the standard release is set at $29.99. The collector’s edition will go for $44.99.
Rumor: Sailor Moon Easter egg in Punch-Out!! for Wii cost Nintendo and Next Level Games millions

During Piston Hondo’s rematch fight in Punch-Out!! on Wii, the character is shown reading manga. While it can’t be seen very well, believe it or not, early copies of the game actually included images from Sailor Moon. That seemingly innocent Easter egg apparently resulted in a messy situation for developer Next Level Games and Nintendo.
Shesez, known for his Boundary Break YouTube series, mentions that the game’s art director ultimately signed off on the idea despite initial reservations. Because of its release also being so close, the Sailor Moon Easter egg was left in. Removing it may have caused a delay.

Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate details new characters, Saori Hayami’s involvement

Koei Tecmo has sent out an official batch of details for Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate. It covers new characters Hades, Achilles and Ryu Hayabusa in addition to Saori Hayami’s involvement with the game, who will be voice acting and singing the new theme song.
