Switch is just a few months away from its second anniversary. Some system owners have been clamoring for video apps since its release, but there haven’t been too many options. Hulu came to Switch last November, but offerings since then have been few and far between.
The good news is that, next week, Switch might be receiving a major video app. Though the page is currently inaccessible, Nintendo’s website indicates that YouTube is launching on the eShop very soon.

MUSYNX update out now (version 1.1.2)
Posted on 6 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
PM Studios and acttil have released a new update for MUSYNX on Switch. Players can access version 1.1.2 as of this week.
The new update addresses a couple of things in particular. First, touch screen bug fixes have been implemented where the right arrow for navigation on the song screen would become un-selectable. Another fix is included as well where the song auto selects when scrolling through the song list.
That’s a small patch, but there’s more to come for MUSYNX. The team says “there’s more awesome stuff” on the way.

Octopath Traveler devs on character origins, visual style, initial HD Rumble plans, much more
Posted on 6 years ago by Oni Dino(@Oni_Dino) in News, Switch | 0 comments
A recent issue of Nintendo Dream features an informative and lengthy interview with Octopath Traveler’s main producers from Square Enix, known as the “Asano Team”. The discussion focuses on art direction and learning more about the eight main characters (who were originally going to be a team of up to twelve!) with behind-the-scenes information on changes to characters’ designs, names, and personalities. We also have a brand new look at initial prototypes for the visual style, talk about a scrapped HD Rumble idea, and much more.
Check out our exclusive translation below to learn first-hand how Octopath Traveler started out based on Final Fantasy VI and Romancing SaGa 3, and how the team pioneered a new “HD-2D” art style to create a JRPG that feels nostalgic, yet brand new, all at once.
