DidYouKnowGaming? and Unseen64 published a video today investigating a number of Nintendo-related pitches. Some were previously known, while others are entirely new.

One interesting pitch is tied to Retro Studios. In mid-2007 or so, following the end of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption’s development, a very small team within the company pitched a revival of Kid Icarus. It was supposedly led by Jason Behr, a veteran designer at Retro.

Arachnid Games, who brought Ballpoint Universe to Wii U a few years ago, released its latest game Diluvion earlier this year. The developer has confirmed on Twitter that this title is now making its way to Switch.

Arachnid Games told one fan:


Diluvion is described as a “3D deep sea, Jules Verne inspired, exploration game with RPG elements and thrilling submarine combat”. We have more details and a trailer below.

A second alpha test for PokeLand kicked off a few days ago on Android, featuring new levels and Pokemon. Get a look at some footage below.

Nintendo is still adding new content to Splatoon 2. Every week, we’ve seen new weapons and stages added to the game. When it comes to multiplayer maps, Nintendo has coming up with brand new areas plus stages returning from the original game.

Touhou Kouroumu 13 has been taking place this weekend in Japan. At the event, Area Zero announced that Touhou Sky Arena: Gensoukyou Kuusen Hime Matsuri Climax is coming to Switch.

Touhou Sky Arena: Gensoukyou Kuusen Hime Matsuri Climax first debuted on PlayStation platforms last year. It’s a “3D high-tension spell battle action” game that takes place in the Touhou Project world of Gesokyo. 20 playable characters, over 70 music tracks, and support for up to four players online are included.

Two more Switch games could be bound for Switch. The USK, Germany’s classification board, rated Ginger: Beyond the Crystal and Tales of the Tiny Planet Switch this past week.

These two games previously appeared on other platforms previously. Ginger: Beyond the Crystal is an adventure platformer while Tales of the Tiny Planet is a physics-puzzle-adventure in which you use a single button to control a group of complex mechanisms and make it to the end of each level as quickly as you can.

Both Darksiders games have been heavily discounted on the North America Wii U eShop. Darksiders Warmastered Edition, along with Darksiders II, are currently $8 each.

Super Mario Odyssey already had one review before this week. In its latest issue, UK magazine EDGE awarded the game with a perfect 10 / 10 score.

Meanwhile, this week, Japanese magazine Famitsu also had its own review of Super Mario Odyssey. It wasn’t quite perfect, but the game did very well indeed. Four reviewers handed out scores of “10”, “10”, “9”, and “10”.
