Tomasz Dziobek has been working on the arena brawler and twin stick slasher Cubers. Today, Teyon announced that the game will be coming to Switch as part of the company’s new Indie Label series.
Here’s a brief overview of the game:
Control a character sold into slavery by his family, who has to defeat a master of gladiators to reclaim his freedom. On your path to victory, you will fight waves of enemies, one after another, using variety of weapons, armory and skills. The game offers a unique friendly fire system allowing your opponents to hurt each other, which adds plenty of tactical options. There are many types of enemies and trap combinations on 4 arenas, each with a unique theme, atmospheric effects, destructible environment and a challenging boss fight at the end.
Cubers will be on Switch sometime in 2018. Watch a trailer for the title below.
2K still saying WWE 2K18 is on track for Switch this fall
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 8 Comments
Since the week that WWE 2K18 was announced for Switch, 2K has only committed to a general “Fall 2017” release. However, some had hoped that it would be out later this month alongside other platforms. This was somewhat due to marketing materials that surfaced at stores over the past few days pointing to the Switch edition possible landing on October 17.
For its part, the “Fall 2017” release window still sticks. 2K is not giving a more specific launch timing beyond that.
The official WWE gaming Twitter account reconfirms:
Fall 2017 is correct.

Nintendo explains why Super Mario Odyssey ditches the lives system

Super Mario Odyssey makes a major change to a core gameplay element of the series. Lives are now completely gone. When you die in Super Mario Odyssey, you lose coins instead.
This ties in with another element of Super Mario Odyssey. Players can use coins to purchase all sorts of outfits and hats, including a wetsuit, Mario’s look in Mario Maker, and even a golfer’s uniform resembling what he wore in NES Open Tournament Golf.

Has-Been Heroes seems to be selling the best on Switch, Nine Parchments details
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch, Switch eShop | 13 Comments
On the latest episode of Fragments of Silicon, Kai Tuovinen from Frozenbyte was interviewed. Tuovinen was asked about the already-released Has-Been Heroes as well as Nine Parchments.
To begin, Tuovinen indicated that Has-Been Heroes has been selling the best on Switch. Tuovinen didn’t share any specific numbers, though that was in part due to since he didn’t have any information on-hand. Switch’s small library could have played a role in the strong performance, but the fact that people were interested in the game and were giving it a shot was encouraging.
