Monster Boy gives a look at its remade Monster World Village

FDG Entertainment published another new blog for Monster Boy. For today’s entry, we’re once again able to see how one of the game’s areas has been completely reworked.
This is what Monster World Village used to look like:

The old version of the inn “looks nice but not refined enough to meet todays standards.” As for the new version, it “shows the new quality level which we aim to reach in all areas of the game.” The developers added: “With 4 years in production, we don’t want to have any drawbacks and finish the game properly so it can shine and impress.”

Lost Sphear director on making improvements from I Am Setsuna, length, putting it on Switch

It wasn’t too long ago that Square Enix and Tokyo RPG Factory announced Lost Sphear. The game was showcased at E3 earlier this month, and Kotaku also conducted an interview with director Atsushi Hashimoto. Hashimoto discussed how the team is making improvements from I Am Setsuna, the game’s length, and having it on Switch.

Yooka-Laylee now entering testing on Switch

Playtonic offered up a new status update on the Switch version of Yooka-Laylee today. The 3D platformer is entering testing, and once that’s complete, a release date should be announced “shortly after”. We’re hoping that launch isn’t too far off.

Minecraft: Nintendo Switch / Wii U Edition maintenance taking place tonight

Minecraft is receiving a new update on Switch and Wii U tonight. In conjunction with that, both versions will be undergoing maintenance.
The schedule is as follows:
– 6:50 PM PT (June 27) – 8:30 PM PT (June 27)
– 9:50 PM ET (June 27) – 11:30 PM ET (June 27)
– 2:50 AM in the UK (June 28) – 4:30 AM in the UK (June 28)
– 3:50 AM in Europe (June 28) – 5:30 AM in Europe (June 28)
All network services for Minecraft will be down during the maintenance period.
Sonic Forces devs on the custom character system, development started before Mania, more

A new Sonic Forces interview has gone up on Nintendo UK’s website. Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka and producer Shun Nakamura participated in the discussion.
We have some highlights from the interview below. Iizuka and Nakamura spoke about how Sonic Forces isn’t a sequel to Sonic Generations, the custom character system, appealing to all types of players with this game and Mania, and fans comparing New Donk City from Super Mario Odyssey to Sonic Adventure.

Minecraft will be updated very soon on Switch and Wii U with the latest features and DLC. Along with the Glide Giants Track Pack and Mini Game Heroes Skin Pack, new achievements, mobs, and more will be available.

Pac-Man Vs. coming to Namco Museum on Switch

During a previous Nintendo Direct, it was announced that Namco Museum is on the way to Switch. The latest issue of Famitsu now makes the collection official Japan and also confirms the addition of another title: Pac-Man Vs.
Pac-Man Vs. was actually developed by Nintendo. Bandai Namco published the game on GameCube, which later ended up on DS as well.

Snake Pass teases upcoming DLC with summer sale

Sumo Digital isn’t done with Snake Pass. In July, the studio will release the first DLC for the game.
Those who have yet to purchase Snake Pass may want to take advantage of a new discount. It’ll be 40 percent off until July 4.
