Nintendo released a new video today showcasing a few European digital game highlights from January 2023. Some of the highlighted titles include Fire Emblem Engage, Persona 4 Golden, and PowerWash Simulator.

Atelier Ryza 3 details World Quests, building, cooking; opening movie released

During the Taipei Game Show 2023, Koei Tecmo and Gust Studios debuted new gameplay elements for Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key, including the first information detailing the new World Quests, along with building and cooking features. The opening movie and new artwork has also been released.

Dark fantasy action game Bleak Sword DX announced for Switch

Today, publisher Devolver Digital and developer more8bit announced Bleak Sword DX for Switch. The dark fantasy action title will arrive later in 2023.
Bleak Sword originally appeared on Apple Arcade, but the DX version will feature new content. The game is adding three new modes as well as multiple gameplay and graphical improvements.

16-bit platformer Tiny Thor announced for Switch

A new 16-bit platformer is bound for Switch, with publisher Gameforge (via its IndieForge label) and developer Asylum Square having announced Tiny Thor for the console. A release is planned for Q2 2023.
Henk Nieborg, who was involved with Spyro: A Hero’s Tail, Contra 4, and Shantae is working on the game. Chris Hülsbeck is on board for the soundtrack following previous hits like Star Wars: Rogue Squadron and Turrican.

Mia and the Dragon Princess release date set for April, new trailer

Wales Interactive has shared a final release date for Mia and the Dragon Princess, its live-action, interactive action movie. Switch will be getting the title on April 21, 2023.
Mia and the Dragon Princess was originally announced for Switch last July. It was initially planned for Q4 2022, so the project went through a delay.
Turn-based tactical game Capes heading to Switch

Publisher Daedalic Entertainment has announced a partnership with Spitfire Interactive on its upcoming title Capes. Thanks to that, the title is heading to consoles – including Switch.
Capes is a turn-based tactical game of superheroes battling to reclaim their city from the forces of evil. Further information can be found in the following overview:
Mystic Gate, action-roguelike dungeon exploration bullet hell shooter, coming to Switch

Today, Zoo Corporation announced that it will bring Mystic Gate to Switch as its first title for the console. The game will launch on March 9, 2023.

City Connection has announced Batsugun Saturn Tribute Boosted, a new version of Toaplan’s 1993 vertical shooter for Switch. A release is scheduled for May 25, 2023 in Japan.
