Switch eShop

Today’s indie Switch goodness isn’t over, as another presentation should be starting shortly. Assuming there aren’t any technical issues, tinyBuild’s second #HelloSwitch event will begin momentarily.

tinyBuild announced six games for Switch during the last #HelloSwitch broadcast, including the recently-released Clustertruck. We’ll report back on any news from today’s show. You can also watch it as the show happens below.

REDMOND, Wash., March 20, 2018 – In a Nindies Showcase video released during this year’s Game Developers Conference, Nintendo featured more than a dozen independent games coming to Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo Switch system in 2018. These “Nindies,” the term for independent developers making games for Nintendo systems, are creating unique experiences that fall into multiple genres – including stealth action games like Mark of the Ninja Remastered, tactical role-playing games like Banner Saga 3 and rhythmic “bullet hell” games like Just Shapes and Beats. And because of the unique features of Nintendo Switch, all of the independent games featured in the video can be played at home or on the go.

“Since the launch of Nintendo Switch, we’ve continued to be blown away with the amount of high-quality games coming from our passionate Nindie developers, and the positive fan reception for those experiences,” said Damon Baker, Nintendo of America’s Senior Manager for Publisher & Developer Relations. “This talented and ever-growing community of Nindies has found a home on Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch, and we absolutely welcome their inventive and visionary contributions.”

After announcing the event last week, the Nindies Showcase Spring 2018 live stream will be hosted today. Nintendo will kick off the presentation at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 4 PM in the UK / 5 PM in Europe.

We have the stream embedded below. We’ll also be sharing updates live on the site as announcements are made. Enjoy the show!

10tons ended last week by bringing Tesla Vs Lovecraft to the Switch eShop. Take a look at some footage in the video below.

Nintendo has announced a massive spring sale for Europe that’s set to go live later this week. Over 140 games will be discounted across Switch, 3DS, and Wii U.

On Switch, ARMS will be available for 33% off. Other titles such as Doom, L.A. Noire, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Super Bomberman R, Rocket League, and FIFA 18 will also be up to 50% off.

Adventures of Bertram Fiddle: Episode 1: A Dreadly Business was first listed for Switch on the Japanese eShop a few days ago. Chorus Worldwide has actually confirmed that the game is launching worldwide on March 29. That applies to North America, Europe, Australia, and Japan.

In case you missed our previous coverage, Adventures of Bertram Fiddle is a point-and-click adventure game that promises “riveting action elements all weaved together lovingly by Rumpus Animation.” On Switch, it sounds like touch controls will be supported.

Phantasy Star Online 2 Cloud

Phantasy Star Online 2 Cloud is now available for download on the Japanese Switch eShop. But as we know, service won’t actually start until April 4. While you can download the game, you won’t be able to do much for now.

It’s worth pointing out that Phantasy Star Online 2 Cloud has been notoriously difficult for those outside of Japan to access. Things could be the same on Switch, meaning fans in North America and Europe might be unable to play next month.

Phantasy Star Online 2 Cloud takes up 36.0MB of space.
