Animal Crossing: New Horizons getting free updates

Free updates for Animal Crossing: New Horizons are planned, Nintendo has announced.
Most of the specifics have yet to be shared. But during today’s Nintendo Direct, it was teased that players can expect seasonal events with guests and more.
The first update introducing a special Bunny Day event in April will be available on March 20.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons will support the Nintendo Switch Online app

During today’s Nintendo Direct, Animal Crossing: New Horizons outlined support for the Nintendo Switch Online app.
Known as “NookLink”, players will be able to scan QR code patterns of custom designs and more. You’ll be able to scan QR codes from Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. Chatting with friends online is also supported.
The service will go live shortly after Animal Crossing: New Horizons launches.

UK sales for January 2020

New sales data is in from the UK for the month of January 2020.
As far as physical software sales go, Nintendo was the biggest publisher of the month. The company’s sales saw a 21 percent share of the market. Switch accounted for 16.3 percent of tracked game sales for the month, though that’s not included Nintendo’s first-party games from digital. When only looking at physical sales, Switch titles were at 31 percent.
Even though there were shortages of Nintendo hardware, Switch was the most successful family of consoles regarding both revenue and units. Switch Lite was the most successful individual console SKU over the course of the month.

Developer Metamorphosis Games and publisher Sold Out announced today that their 2D steampunk platformer Gestalt: Steam & Cinder is coming to Nintendo Switch. It’ll be released sometime this year. Here’s an overview of the game:

Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate version 1.0.13 now available

Koei Tecmo released a new patch for Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate today. Version 1.0.13 has the following changes:
- Added an option to change the UI of the officer selection screen.
- Added an option to change party members and weapons during online co-op.
- Added Attribute Elements to some Legendary Weapons.
- Added costumes for Zhou Yu, Oichi, and Da Ji.
(Limited to the users who have obtained the Bonus Costume for Gaia.) - Fixed other issues.
