Rumors of new Switch models picked up again yesterday after The Wall Street Journal published its latest report. Eurogamer has now come forward with an article of its own detailing what it has heard.

Eurogamer, citing “sources close to Nintendo,” shares the following:

SteamWorld Quest will debut on Switch via the eShop on April 25, Image & Form has announced. Pricing is set at $24.99 / €24.99 / £22.49.

Today’s news was accompanied by a new gameplay trailer. We’ve included the video below.

SteamWorld Quest will be receiving a physical release sometime after the eShop launch, but it’s not yet clear when that will be happening.

Over the past couple of years, we’ve repeatedly heard from Final Fantasy XIV director Naoki Yoshida about wanting to have the MMORPG on more platforms, including Switch. The only barrier brought up in the past relates to cross-platform play. Nintendo and Microsoft fully support the feature, and Sony is starting to get on board as well. That means a Switch version is even more likely to happen now.

Speaking with GameSpot, Yoshida confirmed that Square Enix is still talking with Nintendo as well as other companies and are currently “in negotiations”. He said:

We have a bunch of new English footage from Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists running on Switch. Have a look at the gameplay below.

Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle is featured in this week’s Japanese gaming magazines with a new batch of details. Not only is the game itself covered, but a developer interview provides even more insight.
