As a way of promoting Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo is planning a cross-country tour across the United States. Those who stop by one of the five locations will have the chance to meet the Mario costumed character, take photos with him and his trailer, and get hands-on time with the game.

While Nintendo has five specific locations lined up, Mario will also be making some stops to sightsee and take photos. Each of these special stops are inspired by Kingdoms in Super Mario Odyssey. Nintendo will be sharing photos on its social media accounts, such as when Mario visits big cities as a reference to the Metro Kingdom.

The latest Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Twitter update is about the “Button Challenge” system. When a Blade performs a special move, pressing the correct buttons shown on screen will increase the power of that move. There’s also a narrator who gives comments based on the success of your button presses. Check out the video in the tweet below that shows the system in action:

As was announced last month, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be getting some new DLC this fall. The big thing that’ll be included in this DLC are two new characters: Dabra and Buu (Gohan Absorbed). Bandai Namco has now released a trailer that shows the two of them in action:

An all-new stage will be added to Splatoon 2 tomorrow. Snapper Canal was first shown in the latest Nintendo Direct; its main feature is the river that runs through the middle of the stage.

Nintendo has added some last-minute maintenance to its schedule today. Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition will actually be undergoing maintenance in about a half hour.

Back in July, Famitsu announced a Squid Fashion Contest for Splatoon 2. It was similar to what the magazine ran a couple of years ago with the original Wii U game.

Fans were asked to come up with ideas for pieces of gear. Following more than 1,000 submissions, the winners have been revealed.

Game Rant has published its full interview with Metroid co-creator Yoshio Sakamoto. Sakamoto touched on why 3DS was chosen as the platform for Metroid: Samus Returns on 3DS, as well as why Metroid II was fit for a remake. He was also asked about possible interest in an animated series / movie, though Sakamoto didn’t have much to say here.
