Rainy Frog will be producing a physical release for Night Slashers: Remake on Nintendo Switch in Japan, the company has announced. It’s due out on February 20, 2025.
Night Slashers: Remake previously made it to Nintendo Switch in the west. However, thus far, it’s only been available as a digital download. Now fans will have the option to add a physical version to their library. Additionally, it’s worth noting that the physical release will support English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean. Nintendo Switch is region free, so importing a copy won’t be an issue.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons set another record within the past few days, and it has now become the best-selling physical game of all time in Japan.
Famitsu reported today that for the week of December 16, another 15,536 copies were sold at retail. That brings the game’s total physical sales to 8,008,343. No other game in Japan has ever managed to reach that mark – Pokemon Red and Greed previously held the record having sold 7.93 million copies. If digital sales were included, the number for Animal Crossing: New Horizons would definitely be much higher.

It’s the perfect time to give EarthBound Beginnings a chance

By now, just about everyone involved in the Nintendo sphere knows or has heard about EarthBound in some way, shape, or form. The game went on to inspire many of today’s popular indie titles, and it’s since become a cult classic among its fans. EarthBound – which is actually the second game in its series – was released in the United States in 1995. It didn’t sell very well, however, thanks at least in part to a poor marketing campaign. It turns out, selling your game with the tagline “this game stinks” doesn’t make people more likely to buy your product!
