Nintendo of Europe announced on Twitter this morning that Snipperclips will be the next Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial in Europe. This should apply to all PAL regions, and will be available to all users with an active subscription from January 27, when the current Online Game Trial, Uno, is set to end. Sonic boost

With the Sonic games, something that’s been pretty common across many of the series entries is the boost mechanic. This lets players move about at an incredibly fast speed and it’s pretty helpful for taking down enemies.

Interestingly, it’s possible that SEGA could do away with the mechanic in future Sonic games. Sonic Frontiers director Morio Kishimoto, who has been pretty talkative with fans on Twitter, has indicated that a lot of consideration was given to boost in the latest title, and the team ultimately decided to include it. However, he did say that he’d be interested in making a Sonic game that doesn’t have boost.

Fire Emblem Engage sales

Original (1/22): This week’s UK software sales are in, and it includes the first report on Fire Emblem Engage.

The new Switch title did manage to debut at #1. However, launch sales are 31 percent lower than Fire Emblem: Three Houses. While that may seem disappointing, Fire Emblem Engage earned the second biggest launch for the series in the UK. Fire Emblem Awakening is third in case you’re curious.
