Baten Kaitos I II HD Remaster

Bandai Namco has just announced Baten Kaitos 1 & 2 HD Remaster, updated versions of the classic card RPGs now making their way to Switch. A release is planned for this summer.

Both Baten Kaitos titles were developed by Monolith Soft of Xenoblade fame. Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean came out at the end of 2003 in Japan, 2004 in North America, and 2005 in Europe. It was followed by Baten Kaitos Origins – which is actually a prequel – in 2006.

Master Detective Archives: Rain Code release date

Spike Chunsoft has nailed down a release date for Master Detective Archives: Rain Code. Today, the company confirmed the title launches on June 30, 2023.

Master Detective Archives: Rain Code was originally revealed last September. Bandai Namco initially confirmed a Spring 2023 launch window.

Nintendo will release Metroid Prime Remastered for Switch, the company revealed during a Nintendo Direct presentation today. A digital release is happening today with the physical version following February 22, 2023.

Metroid Prime, a first-person shooter developed by Retro Studios, originally released for GameCube in 2002. It is one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time and has been praised for bringing Metroid into the 3D space. Nintendo did re-release Metroid Prime on Wii as part of the Metroid Prime Trilogy in 2009, but not much has been done with the game since.

Switch Online GBA

Just announced, Game Boy Advance games are making their way to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.

The launch lineup includes Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$, Kuru Kuru Kururin, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. More titles are planned for the future.

Switch Online Game Boy

For the first time, Game Boy games are coming to Nintendo Switch Online.

The launch lineup includes Tetris, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX, Gargoyle’s Quest, Game & Watch Gallery 3, Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, Metroid II: Return of Samus, Wario Land III, and Kirby’s Dream Land. More games will be added in the future.

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp final release date 2023

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp finally resurfaced during today’s Nintendo Direct, and the game has been given what should hopefully be its final release date. Fans will be able to get their hands on it starting April 21, 2023.

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp was revealed in June 2021. Originally, Nintendo intended to ship it that December. Just a couple of months before launch though, the game was delayed to Spring 2022. In February 2022, Nintendo gave an updated April release date, but then announced another delay just one month later following the war in Ukraine.

Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection

Today, Atlus unveiled Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection for Switch. We already have a release date of June 1, 2023.

Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection brings together the first three titles in the series that launched for DS more than a decade ago. It includes new features such as newly remastered visuals and a remastered soundtrack plus a multitude of quality-of-life improvements, such as difficulty selection, save slots, and easier access to the in-game monster compendium, quest log and skill tree.

Sea of Stars release date demo

Sea of Stars has secured a final release date. The turn-based RPG launches on August 29, 2023.

Additionally, a demo goes for Sea of Stars goes live on Switch today. The dense slice of early-game content showcases the game’s main systems and mechanics, introducing key characters and the adventure’s tone in a spoiler free, close-to-final vision look at the game featuring pirates, puzzles and exploration.

We Love Katamari

Bandai Namco is bringing another Katamari game to Switch – specifically We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie. The game launches on June 2, 2023.

We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie is an updated version of the original game with quality-of-life enhancements and new modes such as Selfie Mode and Eternal Mode, which introduces casual play with no time limits. Also being added are five new challenges themed around the story of the young King of All Cosmos have been added to the remaster, along with all new collectibles to roll up.

Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass details

Fire Emblem Engage players wondering what lies ahead for the game’s Expansion Pass were given some answers today during the Nintendo Direct, as details were provided about Wave 2, 3, and 4.

Wave 2, featuring Hector, Soren, and Camilla, launches today. Wave 3 has Chron and Robin plus Veronica. Wave 4 will unlock the new story Fell Xenologue.
