New Story of Seasons games announced

During the Marvelous Games Showcase 2023, new entries in the Story of Seasons series were announced.
The first one is traditional with players will be taking care of animals, growing crops, and sharing fruits of your labor with their neighbors while living a wholesome life. Also teased is that the title will be preserving the series’ elements while making “an entertaining farming experience that will reach more players than ever before.” The team at Marvelous is working hard on the game’s visual presentation.

Nacon and Daedalic Entertainment have shared a launch trailer for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. While the game is seeing its initial debut today, the Switch version will be following at a later date.

Disgaea 7 release date set for October in the west, story trailer

NIS America has revealed the final western release date for Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless. The game is slated to launch on October 3, 2023 in North America, October 6 in Europe, and October 13 in Oceania.

Skul: The Hero Slayer update out now (version 1.7.6), patch notes

The next update for Skul: The Hero Slayer is now available on Switch, with the game moving up to version 1.7.6.
This patch includes balance tweaks for the Physical Attack related items and inscriptions. Additionally, several known issues have been fixed.

Batora: Lost Haven Switch physical release happening

Thanks to Limited Run Games, a physical version for Batora: Lost Haven is on the way to Switch.
This marks one of the company’s releases in which only a standard boxed copy is planned. There will be no special editions.

Ys X: Nordics revealed for Switch, new details and screenshots

Original (12/15): Falcom had previously announced that the next installment in the Ys series would be making its way to Switch, and we now have a few more details on the title. The game is officially titled Ys X: Nordics, and will be releasing on Switch in Japan in 2023.
Ys X: Nordics is releasing to celebrate the series’ 35th anniversary. It’s set to expand gameplay in new directions for the franchise, such as by offering expanded control of multiple characters through a new “Cross Action” system or introducing sailing and naval battles as a core feature.

Marvelous Game Showcase 2023 announced for May 25

A new Marvelous Game Showcase 2023 will air tomorrow, May 25, it’s been announced. The event goes live at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET / 11 PM in the UK / 12 AM in Europe.
The Marvelous Game Showcase will reveal “new titles in active development” – and this includes “early first looks.” As for the announcements, fans can look forward to “new entries for popular, long-running franchises as well as all-new titles, with members from the respective development teams joining to share their thoughts on these works in progress.”
