Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes systems

Level-5 is still hard at work on the next Inazuma Eleven game – now known as Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes – after many years of development. Today, the company provided a new status report on the project. This follows the last update in July.

The game system, world view, story, and more have now been solidified. Level-5 intends to release information in stages from here.

We have not one, but two new character introductions for Fire Emblem Engage today with Nintendo and Intelligent Systems showing off Sommie and Panette. Credit goes to the official Japanese Twitter account with SatsumaFS sharing translations.

Sommie we have less information on. This is merely said to be a mysterious creature named Sommie that has lived in Somniel since the olden days. If you take good care of it, something good may happen.

Switch hardware refresh Digital Foundry

Rumors of a more powerful Switch – often dubbed by fans as the Switch Pro – have persisted for years. The thought was that Nintendo would come out with a new piece of hardware that isn’t quite a successor, but would be a step up  from what we have now. Presumably this theoretical device would allow for things such as technical improvements when it comes to aspects like frame rate and resolution and perhaps even better visuals.

Digital Foundry’s John Linneman has now weighed in on the situation in the outlet’s latest podcast. After speaking with some developers, he believes Nintendo was at once point toying around with a Switch hardware refresh. However, “that seems to no longer be happening” and the company is apparently pursuing a true successor instead.

Fire Emblem Engage Lapis

For the latest Fire Emblem Engage character introduction, we have a look at Lapis. This is thanks to the official Japanese Twitter account with SatsumaFS sharing translations.

Lapis, a royal soldier of Brodia and Alcryst’s retainer, is said to be friendly and kind. She has trained to hunt for survival. Although she looks meek, she is stronger than average.

Severed Steel Rogue Steel update

A big “Rogue Steel” update has just dropped for Severed Steel on Switch.

This is a pretty significant patch with new content, features, and improvements. Some of the highlights include the Rogue Steel mode, new weapons, support for gyro controls, and performance improvements.

The full patch notes for the Severed Steel “Rogue Steel” update are as follows:

Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse physical

Original (11/5): Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will have a physical release on Switch in Asia that supports English, it’s been revealed.

In North America and Europe, the situation is different. The new Switch version of Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will only be sold digitally in the west. That means if you’re interested in adding a physical copy to your collection, you’ll need to do so by importing the title from Asia. However, that shouldn’t be an issue for most fans since Switch is a region-free console.

Fire Emblem Engage Ike

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems are kicking off the week with a Fire Emblem Engage character introduction for Ike, yet another classic hero for the game. The latest update again comes from the official Japanese Twitter account with SatsumaFS sharing translations.

Ike, who is the Emblem of Radiance, is a famous leader of a mercenary band. He also has unrivaled combat prowess. Ike is strong in offensive power and durability, and gets more powerful as he loses more health. It’s noted that he’s a good Emblem for taking the heat from enemies with his defenses and power ups at low HP.

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart. This week, Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse and Rune Factory 3 Special appear for the first time.

Head past the break for the full chart. All votes were cast between December 8 and December 14.
